Jurisdictionally Mixed Feelings

So I tried to sign up with Lvl today, which is a Bitcoin banking app. I was denied because they don't have permission to do business in my state of residence (The ones listed above are allowed). I had a similar experience setting up a BlockFi account for my business which is based out of a different state. They allow you to open a crypto account, but you can't tie it into the banking system. Some of you might suggest I use a VPN. That's pretty much a non-starter when you are talking about using KYC/AML services tied into the traditional banking system. You might be able to do that with some non-KYC crypto-only exchanges, but it's a very bad idea when you are tying into traditional finance. This is the negative aspect of individual states each having their own laws. Although it's frustrating, I wouldn't want it any other way. You can conduct jurisdictional arbitrage to a high degree in the US. You don't like the laws of one state, move to a different one! I am actually planning to move here soon for that very reason.

I'm still learning more about the game mechanics. So GU has a internal currency called FLUX. You need to spend FLUX in order to forge cards. You cannot buy FLUX, you can only earn it through playing. One way to earn it is to do the 'Gauntlet Of The Gods' quest. You basically have to win 3 matches with each god in a certain order to get the maximum amount of FLUX. That would mean you'd need to win 18 matches in a 24 hour period to maximize your FLUX. Even with a decent win percentage, this is a huge investment of time (A single match can take 15-20 minutes). What you get in the end is the currency you need to forge the cards you receive in packs. Example below:

To forge this card, you need 2 cards, 120 FLUX, and 0.7 GODS token. My supply of GODs token came from the airdrop I got from buying a genesis pack years ago.

So far all the cards I own are worth about $22. So far the return on the amount of time invested hasn't been spectacular, but I'm probably missing something.
