Pretty crazy that charges against police officers can move markets...

It is an interesting world we are living in these days...

We now live in a world where people wait with baited breath for what charges are going to be filed (if any) against the latest police shooting.

And it appears the stock market does as well.

Today we got word that the police officer involved in the shooting of Rayshard Brooks was charged with 11 counts, including capital murder.

A charge that could carry the death penalty in the state of Georgia by the way.

Can you guess what time that announcement might have occurred at by looking at the markets above?

Here, I'll give you a hint...

It's impossible to say for sure that this is what caused the decline but I can say for sure that as the news was breaking we saw a marked increase in the velocity of the declines as the news was breaking.

Not only in stocks, but bitcoin saw bit of selling around this time, though it has since recovered the drop.

Interestingly enough, some feel the officer was over-charged with the 11 counts and capital murder chargers and had he been "under-charged" the markets would have responded much worse.

Interesting times we live in when the announcement of police charges have the ability to influence markets...

Stay informed my friends.

This is like saying trading slows down when Pikachu holds a fart... Nobody can prove it true or false even though Pikachu is an animated character...
