My 2nd 100 Days of Saving during Week 17 by @justclickindiva | SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB
Hope everyone had a good week.
Some weeks are good; others, not as much. Offline life can be demanding sometimes as issues arise from left field that have to be dealt with. Trying to stay focused and accomplish your goals can be difficult.
However, I'm excited that at least during this week I bundled those issues and tabled them for another time as they weren't major. I was then able to focus on my online life and the progress I made during the start of my second 100 days of saving.
Today is Saturday, April 24 and time for the weekly update on my activities in the Saturday Savers Club.
Last week, I adopted a new strategy. It's in line with the new plan by @eddie-earner and @shanibeer called 100 DAYS OF SAVING BACKWARDS.

I'm entering the second phase of my 100 days of saving, so I am continuing to save 1 penny per day. However, the strategy is to save backwards.
Beginning April 11th, I started my new strategy and saved backward. I'm now in my 2nd week of 100 Days of Saving Backwards. Here's how I did it:
100 DAYS BACKWARDS
I transferred the following amounts to my Hive Savings where I could monitor them each day in my Hive Wallet:
Week 1 - 4/11 - 4/17
1st Day - .99 Hive
2nd Day - .98 Hive
3rd Day - .97 Hive
4th Day - .96 Hive
5th Day - .95 Hive
6th Day - .94 Hive
7th Day - .93 Hive
So after 7 days, my savings account increased 5.79 Hive. I'm still saving, but doing it in reverse. What an awesome idea. That way, I can utilize less of my liquid each day in case I need it for other investments.
Week 2: 4/18 - 4/24
I'm continuing my saving backwards this week. Officially, this week is my 17th week of participating in the Saturday Savers Club.
During Week 17, my savings and investments included:
- Purchased 4.89 EDS;
- Purchased 3 EDSM and immediately staked them as I learned less than 1K remained;
- Purchased LEO Mega Miner; and
- Purchased BTC.
One of my goals was to save up enough during my participation in the Saturday Savers Club to be able to purchase BTC. Well, you never know when an opportunity arises that cause you to alter your plans and strategy.
This week the price of BTC dipped, and I had to take advantage of it. So I've increased my ownership. I try not to accumulate all my investments in one place. I have to be careful not to open numerous wallets that can't function as a trading platform also. It's too time-consuming to manage. Besides, the transfer fees among certain wallets are onerous.
I'm trying something new in my savings. Even though I'm saving backwards in my Hive savings, I'm continuing to save forward in my new HBD savings.

The balance of my Hive Savings Account as of 4/24/21 is:

11.461 HBD
Since January 1, I have saved 63.450 Hive in just 17 weeks. I started saving HBD on 4/1, so the amount saved in that account is 1.461 in just 24 days by following the savings formula for the 365 Day Money Saving Challenge chart shown below.
