#Fiestatuesday: 1978 Mexico 100 Pesos - Sister Teresa D’Mordecai Part 13

“Black birds tend to like shiny things.” ~ The Bloody Raven
Mexico is the largest producer of Silver in the world topping at 6,300 Metric tons in 2019 followed by Peru at 3,800 Metric tons also in 2019 and China following close at 3,600 metric tons.
Now, I do not dabble much in the Resource company markets much, but I’ve been following a few reliable Precious Metals producers with good track records until I am ready to do so. One is called First Majestic Silver Corp, a primary Silver producer with three self sustaining operations in Mexico and holding interests in a variety of other operations, properties, and reserves in and outside the country.
Today's Mexican Silver Coin
Sister Teresa D’Mordecai: A Kiss Goodbye – Part 13
From Part 12.
Josè turned back to Teresa, “Please don’t, my beloved Teresa…I.”
With his back turned Eva raced around the General and sprayed a concealed vial of Holy Water across Teresa’s face before Josè could fully restrain her, Eva shouted as loud as she could, "Per dei nomine ego Misit vos de!”
Teresa convulses back violently onto her bed.
José wrests the vial from Eva’s grip before she could do any further damage.
Undeterred, Eva pulls off the lower extremity of her St. Horace revealing a hidden dagger blade, “Die Monster!”
Teresa’s mind was clearing.
Her body restrained only momentarily in a gentle manner as if the ghostly deity considered of her fragile condition.
Carmen the Creole Nun gasps as Argénta lifts her pistol at the melee uncertain of which target either the General, the Mother Superior or even Sister Teresa.
With the return of her senses came that odd familiar feeling of assurance.
Clarity of thought.
Centuries of combat skill were set aside, rather than act on the Fight or Flight reaction. Her heart calmed and watched as he rabid senior nun lifted the St. Horace blade above her chest.
Perhaps it is time to live another existence than to continue living this tired one.
Teresa closed her tired eyes, “This is going to hurt.”
A startling bang filled the room.
A bullet splinters into the old wooden headboard.
The blade shatters raining its ornate remains all over Teresa.
The Mother Superior screeched and recoils into José clutching her injured hand in pain.
Stopping in his tracks Josè wiped at the hot sting across his cheek. The bullet just grazed his face. He turns to look wide eyed towards the French Nun, a half step more would have been fatal.
The smoke clears with Argénta still holding up her spent pistol. Her pistol began to tremble before slowly lowering it.
The French nun's regretful eyes could only be a small indication of the difficult decision she had just made. "Je suis desoleè mon Meré Superior, I cannot let you commit murder." Considering the Mother Superior’s whims, the French Nun’s place among the Sisterhood may be finished or out of the Church all together.
José hands the wounded Mother Superior to the Creole Nun for medical aid, “See to her wound.”
The Second Coin/Round
The web site is still active on this Promotional silver round produced by the First Majestic Corporation. I became familiar with this corporation round since the Vancouver Resource Convention a few years ago and they were selling these 1oz & 1/2oz rounds right out of their Kiosk.
Lt. Guadalupe and a pair of Patriot solders crammed through the chamber door to investigate the shot. Confused the Lieutenant surveyed the scene then looked at the General for an explanation.
“Everything is under control Lieutenant except…” José knelt by Teresa’s bedside. He carefully removed the small harmless piece of the blade embedded above her left eyebrow and brushed away the remains of the St. Horace off the bed. But he was disturbed by Teresa’s fatal expression of peace. “No, my love, it cannot be!” He clutched her right hand and kissed it. It felt cold again.
She looked away from his saddened eyes, and fixed them upon the bedside lamp flame, “It’s too late for me. I am done now that the Beast with in me is leaving. Without it I am but a mere mortal and my wound is now too great.”
Tears began to trickle from José’s eyes, “Please no, I can not…”
“Yes, you can José, I, I… wish things could be different but New Spain and your army needs you… do not turn your back on them.” Her right hand reached for his cheek with a weak caress. “Why you’re hurt.”
The General chuckled, “God willing I’d trade it for your chest wound if it were possible!”
“Your Brigida is a very blessed woman… You are alive by the grace of God so don’t let my sacrifice separate what God has destined you for.”
“What do you know about God you demon whore!” The malicious conduct of the Senior nun began to cast doubt on her state of mind on the faces of Ana and her Sisters, “I have done my duty! Die Teresa of the Demons!”
Teresa turned her face to her accuser, “I will not blame you for my death as St. Paul wrote and the as the Lord himself quoted in Scripture to do, I forgive you Sister Eva of St. Angélista.”
In the same malicious tone, the Senior Nun retorted, “Forgive me? I did God a favor and you should thank me!” She then glared at Sister Argénta, “As for you Argénta I will have you cast out of the Order!”
Teresa turns away and stares again at the lamp’s flame, “You have only killed the host and so it has decided to leave but it seeks a new host that is not of sound mind. It is looking at you Sister Eva. I wish this not on my enemies, but I advise you to flee to the sanctuary to pray to God before I die, and this demon may come seeking you.”
The Mother Superior suddenly stood silent.
Her face in sheer terror.
Screaming, she bolts through the chamber door knocking Ana over.
José turns back to Teresa, “Is that true?”
In a weak smile she replied, “Forgive me Father but I could not bear …her droning in my last …moments of life…” Theresa’s breathing slows, “…with you…”
He removes his head scarf wipes his eyes, steels himself and drew out his sacraments, “What is your last wish my dear Sister?”
Argénta felt her heart break watching Father Morelos perform the last rites for Sister Teresa. A strong and passionate priest, an excellent visionary leader who also a witness to much death now losing some of his composure. She cannot say she blame him. Argénta was now kicked out of the order, seems a steep price to pay for these two to have these last moments together. The irony of two Practicing representatives of the holy church decide to fall in love. An irreconcilable and tragic situation if she ever saw one.
Teresa’s voice was almost a whisper, her hand tries to reach up and touch his face one last time, her eyes stared upward in a blank expression. “I can’t see you …too well José.”
José chokes back his tears held her hand again and brushed her fingertips along his cheek to assure her, “I am here. What is your wish that I may grant?”
She took a moment for another breath, “Just one kiss …from you José ...my love.”
He wanted to hear that from her lips since her wounding at the cemetery, his emotions welled up almost beyond his control as tears poured down his cheeks. His heart had no time to curse their fate but try to serve as faithful as he could as Priest and lover.
He gently places her hands together on her belly and slipped her cross into her hands then added Father Hidalgo’s spare silver cross with it. Without the forthcoming of a miracle Father José Morelos cradles her head in between his hands, leans over her face and affectionately pressed his lips upon hers.
Teresa whispers, “There is no greater love …Goodbye my love …have courage…”
“…than for a man or woman give up their life for another.” Replied José.
At that moment she closed her weary eyes and drew her last breath.

Wow sista 😍 That is some really AMAZING coins.
I love the mexican one and always wanted one. The others are amazing to.. You have a Great stack and Thank you for sharing.
Much love 🤗💞
I have discovered quite the variety of Mexican silver coins and I just got enough for two more Chapters of this story arc.
Takes some time to Ebay source Mexican coins within Canada when I though there would be more available considering the strong Spanish presence and influence in the history of the west coast.
Doing the research I've learned so much yet scratching the surface.
Gracias my Sista @saffisara

Yeah I looked at some of those first Majestic generic coins a long time ago and thought they were too expensive. On the other hand as an investor I would invest in any company Keith Neumeyer is associated with. I thought today was pirate Sunday?

And they still set their prices well above spot.
They know very well there is a global supply deficit in the works.
A healthy corporate Balance sheet with a sizable reserve.
I didn't buy their round from the Investment conference but got it at my LCS in their cheap silver rounds box for $2 CDN above spot.
I am familiar Mr. Neumeyer too.
Everyday is #piratesunday

Ah...
What a lovely story...
You are a romantic, sis @kerrisravehill!
Beautiful coins!
I often write to the background of symphony or orchestral pieces as inspiration. For Part 13 I selected this track.
It sure sets the mood and atmosphere of this chapter.
Almost sad angelic and would be perfect accompaniment to the scene.
Always, with Love my Gun Slinger Sis 🤗 🌺 💖

It is Easy To See How Mexico Could be the Wealthiest Country on Earth if Silver Was Allowed To Trade Freely in the Market @kerrislravenhill ...........
We know that the 'Powers That Be' won't let that happen.
Hugo Salinas proposed Mexico to put silver back into it's currency to make the Peso strong and the Mexican economy to thrive. But they slapped that idea down fast. As consolation prize, Mexico did issue BiMetalic Silver business strikes in 1992 1993 but all that silver coinage disappeared under the counters quick. Gresham's Law is as strong as ever.
Steady Stackin as she goes Captain @stokjockey

Hope moves us forward, and our values chart the way. Money is intended to be a safe harbor for economic value—not a constant cause of stress, worry, and entrapment, as it is in the world today. A fundamentally dishonest money, fiat currency ruins our relationships with the intrinsic entropy of nature and our fellow humans. To rejuvenate hope for more harmonious human action in the world, we must set our sights upon the invaluable aims of honest money, entrepreneurship, and civilization.
Beautiful coins i like the FM first majestic one ythe best although i would make it FeMale hahahah and never new the top three silver countries.
Lovely share
Thank you @brittandjosie, FM... that thought did go through my mind. 🌺

Awesome write as usual. Nice Mexican silver. Cool First Majestic round, i still don’t have anything from them.
I'm glad I found this round at my LCS for $2 CDN over spot, it was the only one among the generics I already have and a perfect piece of silver for #fiestatuesday on a Sunday!
Gracias Senor @silverd510

No doubt a good buy and very appropriate
Thanks for showing the stack of treasures, @kerrislravenhill. Mexico, the world's biggest producer of Silver, has some of the most stackable Silver Coins.
The Mexico City mint is the oldest mint in the world and since then has produced an enormous line of coins that would require deep pockets to be able to collect it's entirety at a reasonable level of collect ability. I especially love the old 8 Reals, like Pirate silver!

Nicely done @kerrislravenhill! Awesome silver coins as well. As for First Majestic, I believe they are one of the few companies that are currently paying a dividend.
Thank you for sharing your gift of writing with us! Have a wonderful night!
As I was saying to Silvertop: In the next year I am planning to do a makeover of my Retirement portfolio and the first thing will be miners. The Financial Company is making way too much money off me so I will be taking over on my own.
Thanks for dropping in Sister @elizabethbit
Awesome! You will have fun and gain experience you might not otherwise have had!
The silver miners have had a tough time, it might be their time to shine soon! I have been into silver and Gold mining stock for a while, I am treating these as long term.
First Majestic is one of the big miners, another one to look at is the Avino Silver and Gold mine, with their largest silver mine in Mexico as well...😀

That sounds like a good idea, I am not sure Robinhood is Available in Canada, but it might be worth looking into. No trading fees....😀
Awwww...but, but, but 😔
I still have a few Mexican coins left, actually incoming.
Classic Case of spiritual misapplication so I will put your mortal heart at ease.
I suppose you missed the 'Foreshadowing' in Part 12 of what the Shaolin Master was to teach the Raven (Ping).
Part 14 coming. ⚰️
I totally missed it, fuck. Gotta go read it. Been hectic here lately having a teacher added to my list of trades 🤣
paraphrased...
"forgive me Lord for lying, but I could not bear to hear that old B droning on, the last words I hear before my death"
😜😁😂😹🤣
Sure is some good story telling right there!

Exactly, but I just put in fancier well aimed words.
The Bloody Raven takes no BS alive and she takes no BS at death either.
