#silverpornsaturday: My Tag Master asked so he got it.

”Blackbirds tend to like shiny things, and I'm no Financial Advisor, just lucky." ~ The Bloody Raven,

I’m going have to keep this simple and disceet.
I do love the cute little 1-ounce sized silver bars so I have a little collection happening. Yet, they can still play a part in my Precious metals Stacking Strategy.
While my 5- and 10-Ounce bars have a dual purpose; serving as my first resort liquidation choice to avoid liquidating my core holdings of Maple Leaves, and alternatively as a silver/gold ratio play should that opportunity present itself.

Lettering; OPM
1 OUNCE TROY 0.9995 (Fine silver)

Back; Lettering; Ohio Precious Metals, LLC
Back; Recycled Symbol, “From Recycled sources”

The smaller bars were originally intended as a non-cash settlement within that bullion only exchange should the final ratio after fees say… 36:1 for the exchange. The equivalent of 3x 10 oz, 1x 5 oz, and 1x 1oz Silver bars for a one Ounce gold bar. Simple.

I may not elect to do that but I like to have that option should I feel that I have to adjust my Silver:Gold Stack at the time.
As I get older, I would shift to accumulating more gold. A means of making the overall stack less volatile.

Front; Morgan Dollar Facsimile, 1
Lettering; One Troy Ounce, Fine Silver, 999+, Made in U.S.A. HM
50mm x 30mm x 2mm
Mintage not published

Back; Diamond pattern

These four bars do represent part of a growing collection, in itself. I have been picking them up one at a time from previous coin shows and visits to my Local Coin Shop as an inexpensive little add on to the haul.

Perhaps there was a little bit of influence from and credit to @stokjockey’s never ending silver bar collection I’ve come to admire as his in-depth knowledge of that subject.

Front; Sunshine Mint Logo,
Lettering; SUNSHINE MINTING, .999 FINE SILVER, 1 OUNCE
50mm x 30mm x 2mm
Mintage not published

Back; Rising Sun Pattern, Security Feature

Other than the vintage Johnson Matthey bar I considered the remaining 1-ounce bars most expendable. I don’t know for sure if it’d come down trading off the NTR or the OPM bar since they are no longer being made.

Neither is my Northwest Territorial Mint.
Scottsdale bar? Nah, I like the logo too much.

Johnson Matthey 1 Troy Oz. Silver Bar
Front; JM Corporate Logo
Lettering; JOHNSON MATTHEY ASSAYERS & REFINERS
FINE SILVER 999, 1 OUNCE TROY, Serial number
50mm x 30mm x 2mm

Back; JM Corporate logos
Mintage of under 1,000,000

Looks like I may have to re-evaluate the role of this aspect of my stack.
I do enjoy seeing the different minters and do have a few favorites.
I still enjoy handling, touching, and feeling the weight in my hand.
I enjoy the warm distinct ring as I tap together those without seals. So sexy.

The Back View
If you are a Stacker, do you have a favorite?

I hope yea enjoyed my little private silver boudoir

And, thank you for dropping in!

Sister @saffisara, I cannot help but give credit to other members of the Stacking Community that I have drawn inspiration from. All this may just be Silver to the untrained eye but as we share in this community we become attuned to an entire diversity our silver stack.
One sees, "Investment!"
Another says,"A hedge."
Many can say, "Art!"
We can even say, "It's Sexy."

Thanks for commenting Sis.

Sis, I recall many of your small bars are largely of the Vintage Variety so your collection already has the built in collectablity distinctiveness to feature at fine Wine & Cheese level Receptions.

Mine is edging to collectabilty at the Coffee & leftover Sushi level Reception.
We will improve in time and opportunity to add to the "Sexy Silver Stash"

Always, with love 🤗 🌺 💖

I was wondering if this Artistic Expression could be bordering to an NSFW designation by the Moderators and that can certainly be up for debate. I can understand the interpretation can vary from individual to Individual. While I kept this metaphorical and Artsy, I cannot assume responsibility for anyone end up relaxing with a cigarette after caressing their silver, Lol!
However, the Stackitis Nurse does have a working theory of an odd Stackitis Variant.

Thanks for dropping in @fat-elvis

A very nice little collection of bars, sis! I know I would have a hard time in parting with some of the rounds and bars in the collection I have, but I do have a specific round in a bit of a large quantity, should liquidation become necessary. They are one of my favorites, but the LCS there for a while, had nothing but. So it kind of look like the buffalo round 'threw up' in the safe keeper, lol! Of course, I would keep some for the permanent stack.

Thanks for sharing your bars! Take care sis!💜🌼

My top Favorite is this Scottsdale bar and I would love to stack a pile of these.
They are not considered Vintage but I love the Distinguishing look of the Scottsdale Cameo style Logo on a proof-like field.
And, I love CS Lewis's "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." As the Logo always reminds me of Aslan, the lion of Narnia.
I'd be tough to let go if I had to, but I have lots of other silver that can go before this.

The ratio of 35:1 was just an example. Like all markets conditions change as well as personal circumstances and needs, So, that ratio can shift to 40:1, 45:1, or the other way like 30:1 because we can't predict our own future let alone a dynamic market.
It's just a best guess with the information we have.
And you can take that to the bank, YOU being your own bank of course.

Thank you @nirvana3003 And I didn't have to risk getting the NSFW tag!
Just like many Mutual Fund companies my Precious metals retailer can swap one precious metal for another as both Gold and silver are in the same asset class.
My Primary goal of my Savings is the preservation Purchasing power. I do have a substantial emergency cash reserve I built up over years but that is so subject to loss of buying power due to Inflation.
You have already experienced that first hand and suffered the results in your country.
I see the same happening to mine.
We're preparing for the day the Dollar will be useless.

Thanks @silverd510 I'd like to grow this part of my Stack but the Coin Shows where I find most of them is cancelled until the pandemic blows over, if it ever blows over. And that leaves me at the mercy of Ebay and Web Retailers with the often higher prices.

I've mentioned before that I was a voracious reader of Historical romance novels and they are not just about intrigue, battles, adventure, and fortune seeking. Plenty of Corset ripping going on to spice the reading and vocabulary. I can almost feel the era of a story just by a few choice dated words.
Your comment is deliciously appreciated @goldrooster

I agree with you on the whole feeling the weight in your hands thing. I too like the distinct weight of a silver bar. My parents bought us kids, 2oz rough poured bars for several years in a row. I love those things because the weight is so centered when you hold it in the palm of your hand.. Not sure if that makes sense. Also how your body heat transfers into it rather quickly. I also like the tiny shinny condensed pours because their edges are so smooth and round.. they are delightful to hold. Sort of like tumbling marbles in your hand. Okay, I have rambled too much 😁

I guess you're on the right track, keep it up! I definitely enjoyed your vast collection of bars in different sizes. We used to do it in gold but switched to Gold Bonds in recent years!
