I was reading this post by @knowhow92 a few minutes ago, and I decided to pass this information on to my followers who are always looking for ways to grab free bits of crypto with little effort.
So, I think it's time to ditch your default search engine and try Presearch, a decentralized search engine that pays you in cryptocurrency every time you hit your keywords in the pursuit of precious information. Getting started
Here's what you will see after visiting the website and hitting the 'Try Presearch' button on the left side of your screen. Fill in your information, prove that you're not a robot unless you are, and click on the 'Sign Up Now' button to be able to proceed to your first search.

Time to get paid
As you can see in the images below, I immediately performed my first search and earned 0.25 PRE in an instant. I spent less than 2 seconds on this, so it's safe to say that it's a good side-hustle. Haven't looked into all the details yet, but it seems like a fun way to generate income with little effort.
To be honest, I didn't get the answers I was looking for, but that's because I chose a rhetorical question. But that's cool because at least, unlike Google, Presearch gave me something in return for my activity on the platform.
I can't help but think that this can turn out to be a new hobby, where consuming tons of information and finding the answers to your most bizzare questions can also help you improve your portfolio holdings. Not bad at all.
Staking options
This is another cool feature of the platform, and it basically allows users to commit their PRE tokens to a specific word or term. This option enables users to generate traffic for their websites.
It works by utilizing ads that show up when someone searches for that term on Presearch. Here's some more information on the matter as shown on the website:
You still maintain ownership of your PRE while they are staked, but if you choose to 'unstake' them from a given term, or if someone stakes more than you, your ad will no longer be shown.
During the initial launch phase of the platform, estimated to last until sometime in early 2021, there will be no cost for any traffic you receive through your ad. We will make an announcement well ahead of time to provide everyone with notice before we change this policy.
That's right: no cost per click, no cost per impression, and no cost per action. Just real, quality traffic from more than 1.5m Presearch users who are cryptocurrency enthusiasts and internet power users. Enjoy!
Sounds great
So, you can basically earn crypto for your searches, and stake it in order to generate traffic to your website without having to spend it. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Just keep in mind that you will need to have a minimum amount of 1000 PRE if you are looking to stake them. The good thing is you can unstake them at any time.
Here's a glimpse of my account
As you can see in the screenshots below, I've already gathered 25.25 PRE with just one search. That's because I signed up through @knowhow92's referral link and received 25 PRE as a sign-up bonus.
The rest were earned by hitting the million-dollar rhetorical question we all ask ourselves once in a while.
You can also buy PRE
Apparently you can buy PRE using BTC, ETH or FIAT money, and the token is currently priced at around $0.032. The minimum purchase accepted is 1000 PRE which equals roughly $32 bucks and is all it takes to start staking from day one.
Personally I plan to gather some free PRE for now as I haven't looked into the details of the project yet. Please do your own research before investing your hard-earned funds.

The concept is cool, sadly the search results are abysmal if you search German, non-crypto related content so I stopped using it again ;-)

Yes, it looks like it's still in the works, but still worth a try in my opinion. Never hurts to just stack some free tokens, but I agree that there's only so much to expect.

I played with pre-search way way way back in the day - it was like 2014/2015 when they were doing some super pre-beta stuff -
they had it set up like an auction on keywords where you buy / sell keywords -
I got in early so I just did a MASSIVE oggle search and bought up all the most used keywords
Uggg, if only that would have been for real money LOL

Presearch is nice if we use it for daily needs but if one only use it for reward then its not that great because coin value is quite low. It may rise in long run so making it part of daily use will help.

I'm using it. It works pretty well given that you have the option of switching to different search engines to get the searches you want.
Presearch gives you a bunch of unnecessary links at the start of the search results, but then gives you reliable ones right after. I just ignore them and click on the engine of my choice. I get full credit for using Presearch each time.
