Last month my child began playing a puzzle game to match same color and type of candy. Candy Crush is the game and it has been downloaded over 2.7 billion times since its creation. The game is very addictive and simple to play. It can be stopped at one level and continue to the next at any other time. There is some thought process in picking the right moves to get the pieces to get through.

The game visual graphics is simple but appealing with multiple colors to make it very vibrant. The sound effects is funny and entertaining. When a combo is made or multiple candies are crushed there are quotes and sound effects added.

How Splinterlands is Similar

Similarly Splinterlands has graphics and sound effects during game play. Each character whether monster or summoner has its own unique illustration. The attacks executed by each monster during game play is simple in graphics but gets its point across. As each monster gets knocked out it is automatically removed from view and next monster moves up to the front of the formation.

A game match in Splinterlands once executed is played out instantly and results are known instantly. There is the ease of playing the game as it can be stopped and started at any time. Or game can be played endlessly with matches after matches.

How Splinterlands is Different

Splinterlands game play can get very complex. Although it is not technically a puzzle game there is certain strategies and planning involved. The type of monsters to use and their specific abilities in combination and the type of splinter to use can make this game either very simple or very complicated.

The game also has a limited amount of cards and editions to collect and earn. The cards have real value to them and can be traded for hard assets or cryptocurrency. So players who play the game long enough can earn an income out of the game. On top of that they can play in tournaments and earn crypto that can be traded to cash if wanted.

To date there have been over $100k in rewards just in tournaments. Furthermore there are multiple social platforms for players can communicate. A lot of games I believe do not have the social interactions that Splinterlands has. The social platforms can help new players to play the game or help more experience players with methods of winning more.
