Hive in bear market|| Importance of bears and how long they last.
Hello Hive
The month of May is a significant time in crypto market I guess, its my second year experience.
The first real market dip I experienced was in May last year when there was a major crash similar to what we have experienced this year.
Exactly before then I had just signed into to the binance crypto app and barely had some few tokens.
And then I watched how a crash happens and since before then I had come into the market buying in at high only to watch how the crash happens.
Thank goodness I heed to some advise from older Lions here to keep holding by now I could have lost the little I was holding.
The bears come and go, but the major fear of everyone is for how long.
Bears in crypto is as important as the bulls as well.
If all we have is a bull market and no bears, how will you take out gains.
The logic is to buy the high and sell the low, that's the shortest summary every taught about crypto.
But why are people afraid of the bears if it such a positive time to take out gains.
One of the significant reason is that bear markets though preserves the value of your tokens, their net worth's are reduced and there is a way it affects people individual.
For some who are deeply into crypto and make daily transactions to pay off bills you will need to sell large quantities of token to pay for good.
A practical example is this: during markets ATH or at least a dollar value for Hive, with just 2hive I can have a decent meal but with the current price as seen today, I would need at least 5hive.
The best solution was to keep some stable coin, which helps to set a balance between crypto bulls and bears.
This method guarantees payment in crypto during both seasons, in bear market, you spend stable coins and in bull market you take advantage of the high prices.
How long does bear market last.
I saw this WhatsApp status from a crypto friend and wonder if this is true
Could this be true?.
That this market dip will last for four years before a major pump.
With crypto, everyone has his own ideas and understanding of the market and sometimes many people spill rubbish 😂😂.
The best I could do not to get mislead is wait for 4years and note what happens in between.
- Looking at hive performance for the month of May
The dip has had hive crashing to $0.35 as the lowest price but with the month coming to an end we see a reversal and corrective upward trend to $0.5.
Will this hold still or are we going to witness further dip?
If the graph plays out similar to what we had last year, we might be heading to a new ATH for hive, say $5 or it could be possible for this bear to linger around for a while.
Fingers cross and watching what will play out eventually.

I missed the bottom. But, I did buy some. In the next four years, I plan to continue buying up HIVE and HBD.
It is likely we will see more pain coming to the global economy this year.
There are two things to watch. The first is debasement, in which governments devalue their money by printing more. The other is inflation, which is the result of prices going up because people are competing for fewer goods.
We can't really do much about debasement other than vote for honest politicians, which is like believing in fairies. As for inflation, the best cure for high prices is high prices. It just takes time for inflation to sort itself out.
Personally, once I hit some HIVE staking goals, I'll be putting my savings exclusively into HBD, which has a relatively stable price. And, it's easy to predict your earnings from it.

Hmmm, Debasement and Inflation, some countries are able to handle these thing better than others.
But I do hope that we will keep surviving till these times are over.
Its good to save both Hive and HBD, but I do like that strategy of saving in HBD and makes it easy to determines ones net worth.
This is a great addition.
Thanks for that.

This is very succinct.
Depends on who is setting the prices.
I better have something to sell.
That's right. High prices encourage competition to come into the market. With more supply, prices come down. This only breaks with monopolies and cartels.
Wow . I had never seen it that way.
I m glad to learn this from you.
I m gonna look you up.

Well I believe in the long term innovative tendencies of crypto and just like your friend said earning in naira is something else unless you're earning up to 300k in a month. (which will also be eaten by inflation in months to come) as for the bear, I am never fearful. I don't even care how long. The one in 2018 lasted over 16 months.
