Random Thoughts on bitcoin and blockchain - it should be trustless

avatar

With a lot of activity coming out from a single private citizen who happens to be CEO for a car manufacturer.

This single persons tweets seem to completely move the entire bitcoin, altcoin, etc markets. This highlights the weakness and low inertia of the cryptocoin market. If a single private citizen, can move markets to this extent, then the crypto space is probably not as mature as people think it is.

De-centralization

Most, if not all, crypto-coins are highly centralized, and this is dangerous. It isn't trustless if a couple of entities, likely private entities or controlled arms-length from a state actor, can greatly change how the network reacts.

The recent volatility in the markets demonstrates where the crypto market is in the technology cycle, and it is still earlier than you think.

You can #hlod and #diamondhand all you want but only do so with the amount you are fine losing based on a random tweet.
