Why do I prefer cryptocurrencies? Past, Present and Future

Traditional banks find it difficult to keep up with today's technologies. Especially cross-border money transfers are very slow and expensive compared to today. Until 2013, I always used banks for money transfer and payment, I was always in search of new because of unpredictable costs and slowness, and finally I found what I was looking for. Absolutely what I needed was cryptocurrencies.

At that time, I first started to get interested in Bitcoin (BTC). BTC was not an investment instrument for me back then, but it was a great payment instrument. For example, in 2013, I sent $ 750 to my family with cross-border money transfers from the bank, and 3 days later they received $ 700, the expense of $ 50. I sent another 1000 dollars in the same year, this time they received 850 dollars, 150 dollars expense. When I asked why there were such high charges, they said because of the different rules of different banks abroad. I didn't get enough answers, I didn't try too hard, they wouldn't pay me back that expense anyway.

Similar problems were also happening with credit cards, for example, there was always an incredible difference between the local currency and the dollar rate when shopping abroad. While the dollar rate was 1.7 when I paid, when I looked at the statement, the dollar rate was calculated and paid at 1.85. Since the banks always thought about themselves, the exchange rate was always high in payments made outside of working hours. In short, the exchange rate problem in cross-border purchases and unforeseen expenses in money transfers were always a problem.

Fortunately, I met cryptocurrencies in 2014, and everything changed. Back then, buying and selling cryptocurrencies was faster and cheaper than banks, though not as fast as it is today. I was able to pay with a wallet I loaded on my computer and make money transfers, incredibly easy, fast, low in fee, transparent and no unforeseen expense. At that time, the BTC cost was around 10 cents on average. So if you send it for $ 1, if you send it for $ 1 million, the cost would not change. Isn't it amazing? Back then, there were not enough cryptocurrency ATMs and exchanges, but it was still easier to convert to money than banks. My family could receive the transfer I sent as BTC on the same day or by converting it to dollars the next day. This was really cool. Also, paying with BTC was very easy, fast, and the fees was very low. Since my job is software related, it was incredibly easy to buy servers or receive payments from my clients.

I was thinking of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, but later realized that it was a pretty good investment. Then I realized that the wallet on my computer was like my own bank. I was in full control, I realized that day that no one will need a bank in the future. In short, this is how I met cryptocurrencies. If we talk about today, everything is easier now, there are cryptocurrency ATMs in many places around the world and the stock markets have increased. Now I am sending it as cryptocurrency to the farthest part of the world, they can convert it into their local currency and withdraw them to their accounts at most 1 hour.

In fact, I know that many people have experienced my experiences, perhaps many people have met cryptocurrencies because of these situations. In 7 years, cryptocurrencies became known almost all over the world. Imagine the next 7 years? I am imagining; Cryptocurrencies will be everywhere in the future. Since many corporate companies see the future, they are already making their investments and entering the cryptocurrency market. Why wouldn't they choose it? faster, easier, more transparent and very low cost.

Strong cryptocurrencies will always exist in the future. Especially those with strong infrastructures such as BTC, ETH, BNB, ADA, LEO, HIVE and so on. I usually invest in these cryptocurrencies. Just for them to earn? For me the answer is no, because they have a future. For example, I would be very happy if HIVE reached $ 10, but I would not sell the HIVE I have anyway. Also someday it will already be $ 10 :)
