Another week has passed and its already Sunday 😳 I cant keep up and this weekend just rushed by, wish we had one more free day.. Lol

This friday I got a package and I was really excited as I knew my silver dragons was here 😉 As you know I love dragons and one of my altime favorite collection is the World of dragons.

So here is my newest add and #piratesunday by @stokjockey but also #silverpornsaturday by @silverd510 a day late 🙏 I apolagize!

Obverse
The obverse features the Norse Dragon’s scaly form as it prowls the underworld beneath the roots of the sacred tree of life. His gnashing teeth and massive claws are poised to destroy its roots and unravel the thread connecting the nine Nordic worlds. THE NORSE is also inscribed.

Reverse
The reverse is common among all releases in the series. It depicts the powerful reptilian eye of the dragon. Its piercing gaze is surrounded by the inscriptions “World of Dragons” along with the metal content, weight, and purity.

Part dragon and part serpent, the Norse dragon (also called Nidhogg) was a terrifying beast. Bright scales covered his body, knifelike claws adorned his feet, bat-like wings unfurled from his sides, and piercing horns erupted from his head.
Bent on civilization’s destruction, Nidhogg lived in the darkest whirlpool of the underworld, gnawing at the sacred tree of life that held the nine Nordic worlds of the cosmos together.
Nidhogg has earned a special place in pop culture in recent years, inspiring dragon characters in several popular video games such as the World of Warcraft.
And Marvel fans may remember in the film Captain America: The First Avenger that it is Nidhogg’s eye that forms the button found in a carving of the sacred tree, which is pushed to reveal the Tesseract.

I fell in love with the dragon eye first time I saw one in this collection, and the details on them are just amazing.

Cultures around the world have unique origins for dragons in the historical record.
The myths of these dragons often arise from the fears of the inhabitants of those regions.
For example, most Western European nations viewed dragons as bringers of death and often showcased tales of brave knights facing off against those dragons to save the day.
Indian culture has its own take on dragons.

Obverse

The obverse of 1 oz Silver World of Dragons The Indian Rounds features a serpent-like dragon slithering around the famed Taj Mahal. The dragon has the long body of the dragon slithers across the design field in the foreground, but has a massive head with large, powerful jaws. The Taj Mahal is in the background with an inscription of The Indian on the faade of the structure.

Reverse

On the reverse of 1 oz Silver World of Dragons The Indian Round, you will find the common design element in the series. The massive serpents eye stares directly at the viewer and has a piercing gaze with inscriptions of World of Dragons and One Troy Ounce 999 Fine Silver

History

The Taj Mahal is known as the Crown of the Palaces and is a white-marble mausoleum. It was constructed along the Yamuna river near the city of Agra in India. Commissioned in 1632, the building serves as the tomb of the favorite wife of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. This fifth dragon in the series is known as the Indian and likely depicts Pakhangba, the supreme God of the Meetei tradition.

And gorgeous AZTEC... The very first in this collection and such a beauty.

The details on those 2 are just gorgeous and the eye on the back is killer..Love it!

And now there is only one dragon I don’t have, the EGYPTIAN!

It was the hardest to find but my Silver guy came to my rescue...As ALWAYS
So I have it on the way and soon they will be a complete set 😉
