To hive or not to hive

I can see that many of my friends are having second thoughts about continuing to hive. Many of them have gone on to test the game apps based on the Hive blockchain like Splinterlands, dCity, Risingstar which are all cool and I do play those too. So I can speak for the gamers.

When I joined the blockchain a few years ago, my primary goal was to write blogs and I was new to cryptocurrency at that time and that is when BTC decided to moon all of a sudden. Even though I was excited along with others, I did not have many assets to boast about. People suddenly became aware of BTC and other cryptos and there was an influx of new exchanges in my country as well.

I invested a lot of money in the blockchain and even though it dipped down below, I did not give up. Unfortunately, the very people who invited me here gave up and some did not return to see us all fork into hive and how it grew and along with it, the growth of tokens such as Neoxag, Leo and Bro and dec and others.

January and the new year have all of us sitting up on our chairs with the sudden spike in BTC prices and alt coins too are doing good except Hive which is unfortunately low at the moment.

People are talking about giving up and this is what makes me sad. It is not about the price that makes me stick to hive and blogging and gaming.

Hive is about the community, the passion to write, and the games that remove the stress.

Recently my few friends have joined Hive platform, They are not very excited but I daily encourage them to be regular I hope that will work. 🙏

and few are off course leaving.🤔

I have a feeling they will come to regret that decision.

But that is just me. Seeing opportunities after they are a success if not how one becomes successful.

Yes it is about forging your own path to success. What others do does not affect that. People make choices, often coming to regret them. But alas, that is life.

It is always a bit sad to see people who have been here for a long time fall off and not keep up with their account. I am happy that I have continued to post through both the good and bad times. I think it will put me in a really good position for when people start coming back.

People will do what they do.

It is easy to be down when the price is dropping. This leads many to believe that things are not worthwhile around here. What is ironic is when the price does start moving up, those people will jump back on, having missed a grand opportunity.

The time to build, projects and one's account, is during the bad times. By the time the numbers start appearing, it is too late to stake a good amount since there is a lot of competition. We are seeing that with Leo, a project you mentioned.

I'm here to stay! I'm sad I left before the split but I needed to completely reorganize my life. I've been back a month and I love how the community has grown. I keep investing more and more cause this is really where it's at.
