SPINVEST | MODERATOR NOMINATIONS OPEN MONDAY 30 MARCH 2020
Good morning, beautiful sunshine in the UK, one of a run of very nice days we're having this week. It makes a nice change :)
Lots of changes happening on and off chain. Hive seems to been settling very quickly, with dapps and tools up and running very quickly. Hive.vote, the HIVE version of steem-auto, is here, although having a few teething problems, judging by this post. As soon as you can, set up your autovotes for @spinvest, @spinvest-leo, @spinvest-neo, @spinvest-votes and @spinvest-contests to help grow the SPInvest fund.
SPInvest is in a transition stage from STEEM to HIVE. SPInvest grows through delegating powered up STEEM and HIVE for leases. At the fork, delegations were mirrored: each SPInvest customer had a lease on STEEM and a LEASE on HIVE. SPInvest is checking with each customer where they want to go, and either receiving payments for both leases, or removing one of the delegations.
There have been some discussions about changing the name: rather than changing the account names, we have looked at changing the mreaning of SPInvest. Rather than standing for Steem Power Investments, we have looked at alternatives like:
- Special Projects Investments
- Socially Pooled Investments
- Social Prosperity Investments
My personal favourite is Social Prosperity Investments and the idea that anyone can start saving and investing in a mutual fund with as little as 0.01 HIVE. In the end, though, it will be SPInvest, just as you've always known it :)
SPInvest is a savings and investment club, currently with 35 members who have all completed and published the Partnership Agreement. The Club is moving to the next stage by electing Moderators. These are community leaders who will be involved in discussions about the Club's future direction and growth. Each Club member has been asked to nominate either themselves or another Club member to stand for election as a Moderator.
Nominations open next week on Monday 30 March 2020. They will be run through the @spinvest-votes account, and will last for a week before the election process moves to the next stage.
