I love vintage rounds…

There’s something about vintage silver rounds…. Maybe it’s the really cool designs, or the history of them, but they definitely bring back memories of my childhood.
My grandfather used to take me every week or two to the local coin shop. My grandfather brought mostly pre 1933 United States gold coins. While I was always looking at the silver rounds and bars.
Why? Because he would always buy me one. No chance he was buying me a gold coin……
Don’t get me wrong, he bought silver but it was all kilo bars which he saved to swap out for gold when the ratio was good.
I came across this ultra toned silver round the other day. While it’s not the exact round my grandfather bought for me. It is one of the round designs that he had when I was young.
It brought back memories…

The design on it really shows there is a lot of history about it.
Grand parents are smart knowing enduring value. I have two amazing gold sovereigns handed down from Great great Grandpa through my father. Heirlooms.

I wish that I had one of my grandfathers pre33 gold coins. My stupid uncle sold them all after he passed away without telling anyone. Not only that he went to a buy gold place and got shit for them. That’s what you get when you’re an asshole.

I like vintage rounds! They were affordable, and their designs are great. I like the trade dollars. But when COVID hit and the prices and premiums went up, vintage silver was priced at par with or more than brand new silver. I stopped buying them for a while.

Yeah I remember the days of picking these from the junk bins at coin shows still. Everything has crazy premiums now. I miss the silver at spot deals…🥲

I love this round too that's one of the nicest vintage rounds I ever seen sort of jelly now I'm seeing the vintage lure I might want one but it might be a lot harder finding one
