Morganville.....
Evening everyone.....
Anyone that has been following knows my love of this coin. In my opinion it should be the starting piece for anyone who is serious about coin collecting.
While there are several dates and mint marks that can cost you a pretty penny, There are common dates such as the one I am going to show today. This coin today in this grade and condition can be purchased for under $70.
The coin I am showing today is a 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar. It’s been graded by PCGS as an MS64 and it’s a frosty white.
Look at her....
She’s a beauty.....

As a silver stacker, how do you view stacking old silver coins like these vs pure silver bars?
I personally like this type of silver coin because while they're old, they're still relatively modern enough to relate to. I have a stack of similar Aussie pre-decimal silver coins from the early 1900s.

I don’t consider coins in this condition stacking. The numismatic value is worth triple the spot price. These coins appreciate in value quicker then the spot price. This exact coin 3 years ago you could’ve bought it for under $50. Now it’s about $70. Even with silver prices spiking right now silver isn’t up $20 in the last three years.
A blast white, beautiful Morgan! So very pretty! You have great mint state Morgan collection, bestie. It shows just how much you love this coin, and we are lucky to be able to view them here on Hive! Your treasure chest is Morganville! Thank you for the great show, bestie.
Have a lovely evening and wonderful week ahead, and take care bestie 🥰🌺🤙
