Norfed Dollar.....

avatar

Hello everyone.....

Back in the early 2000’s, a company called Norfed was producing silver rounds with dollar denominations on them. Which is against the law, so after a few years they were raided by the FBI and all product was confiscated.

This is a 2004 example of their “Liberty Dollar”. If you look at the reverse it has a $20 denomination. The rounds are absolutely beautiful and this one is proof like with a deep frosted cameo.

The tiny dots you see in the pictures is just dust on the capsule. These new phones the camera picks up everything.

I paid more then I wanted to for it but it’s the nicest example I’ve ever seen for sale. So I bit the bullet on it.

So here she is.....

And if anyone is interested I’m running a silver raffle. Just check out yesterday’s post.

Looks Proof-ish.
I've been itching to get one these but I kept getting outbid and further being handicapped by postage costs make it more challenging. My semi local coin show has been cancelled until further notice so I may have to take a hit too.
It's a great example of "Protest Silver"
Thanks for the share @silverd510

It is. The pictures don’t do it justice.

They’ve cancelled all the big shows even the annual convention. It sucks

And the "evil" man who "counterfeited" served one year PROBATION! And more importantly all of the silver had to be returned. If we want to talk counterfeiting lets talk about the Federal Reserve calling its note a "dollar".

Great coin to have in the collection.

It was a horse and pony show. They had to stop it or more companies would’ve done it.

It is I’m very glad to have it.

Norfed coins are what I look for every coin show. I love them, but never find them here. Cool beans bro.

Wow, this is a really cool silver round, it's to bad that it is counterfeit.
