Walk like an Egyptian …..

avatar

Afternoon everyone….

Well I’m back at it again. This is another piece that I picked up from Archangel Coin Shop while at the silvergoldstackers meet up in Las Vegas.

It took me a bit to go through the two boxes/bins of various silver rounds, and the three boxes of bars they had. I was going fairly quickly knowing what to a look for, and also stuff that I like.

I posted a privateer round the other day from there. They had three others but they were in rough condition so they got left behind.

Today’s piece is from one of my favorite bigger hand poured silver places. That is Monarch Precious Metals. The piece is called an Egyptian Relic pour. This particular piece is a one ounce version. They also make a two ounce version as well. I believe that there are three different designs available but I’m not 100% sure. It’s been a while since I’ve been on their website.

Anyhow….

The hand poured pieces are stamped to look like an actual Egyptian relic. Which I really dig. No pun intended…

Here is the piece….

They do a nice antique finish on these to make them look like they are old. I think they are pretty cool and feel nice in your hand.

Enjoy…

That is really cool. Is it pretty rare to find low mint items in those boxes or is that where you really score? Sorry, does my question make sense?

Thanks. Most LCS’s will sprinkle in some good stuff to keep you coming back. It’s smart business.

That's a cool pour, it's a really cool design and really does look like it has some age to it. They did a great job!

Wow, that's really a nice piece.. I've been looking at some ancient coins just for the fun of it because I like how they look. I wouldn't dare to buy any of those "ancient" marked once yet though, too little knowledge and would probably be scammed, lol.

But this piece of silver is really neat, great find!

A word of advice, that I personally use. I will only buy graded ancient coins. Even if they only have a grade of “Genuine” on the slab. This means that they don’t meet a grade because of being in the water or buried but are 100% authentic.

Solid advice that I will gladly take. I've been checking them in auction quite often but I've mostly seen them ungraded.

Learned a bunch today already and my day just started, haha. Must be a good day!
