2022 Australia Myths & Legends: Silver Phoenix
Coin Highlights:
Contains 1 oz of .9999 fine Silver in BU condition.
Limited mintage of 40,000 coins worldwide.
Obverse: The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination and the 2022 year-date.
Reverse: Features a phoenix, with a flower in its beak. Also included is the Perth Mint's 'P' mint mark. The background of the design includes a cloud design, a symbol of abundance.
Featured in the reverse of 2022 Australian Myths and Legends is a flying phoenix. It is beautifully designed by Lucas Bowers. The Chinese mythical bird has the head of a pheasant, the beak of a parrot, the body of a mandarin duck, the wings of a swallow, and the tail of a peacock.

This portrait of Elizabeth II was completed by Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark in 2015 and has since been used on many coins throughout the Commonwealth. May she Rest in Peace.

The phoenix is the fiery creature and I like the legend behind how they resurrect from the flames of fire! So it is totally fire... whereas the dragon (the fire dragons anyway) just breathe them out, LOL! Amazing stories!

Oh, I always thought it was a continuation of the series with 2017 Phoenix&Dragon, 2018 Tiger&Dragon etc.
Those are different. There are three of those pairs: Dragon & Dragon, Dragon & Phoenix, and Dragon & Tiger. I was wondering myself.

Well I think it's a bit complicated silver and collecting can often intertwined, so for instance having a 100 oz bar is awesome but I would much rather have a 100 different ounce coins and rounds but the issue is that I would end up paying a hefty premium for that variety so I think these part silver coins are awesome because I get a bunch of variety and they're super cheap and then I end up focusing more on buying up bigger bars or buying a bunch of the same coin or round in bulk for instance I got me over 140 st.helen angel silver ounce coins. We all could have had a whole lot more silver if we all just bought the cheapest options but it would not be nearly as interesting and I still go after fine silver coins and rounds I just picked up a 2011 1 0z ms70 grade silver Libertad today, it was a very hefty premium but I figure why not get my first graded coin and also I really wanted the Libertad so i spolied my self a bit.
