Hand-poured Silver Bar No.72

Don't just save money, save for your future. There IS a difference!

Family & friends savings tips

1. It’s never too soon to start saving for college. The last thing kids need is more “stuff.” Consider asking for donations to the college fund if you have enough clothes, toys, and other needs for your little ones.

2. Don't buy cheap clothes for cheap's sake. There are times where it makes most sense to prioritize quality over price when purchasing clothes for the family. An inexpensive shirt or coat is a poor bargain for older family members if it wears out in less than a year, but could make sense for quickly growing children.

3. Designate one day a week a "no spend day." Reserve one night a week for free family and friends fun. Cook at home, and plan out free activities such as game night, watching a movie, or going to the park.

4. Create a family spending limit on gifts. Discuss placing spending limits on gifts within your family and/or a system where you only purchase one gift for one person over the holidays. Not only will it relieve financial stress for your family, but it allows you to focus on what really matters during special occasions and holidays.

5. Plan gift-giving well in advance. To go alongside spending limits, give yourself time! You’ll ensure that you’re giving the most thoughtful gifts, which usually end up being not as expensive. Besides, it will also give you the opportunity to look for sales.

6. Organize a neighborhood swap meet. Here’s how it works: gather your friends and neighbors with kids around the same age and everyone brings gently used clothing, books, and school supplies, toys, etc., and receives a ticket for each item they bring. Each ticket entitles you to one item from the swap meet. If you contribute six books, you can leave with up to six new-to-you books. If you contribute seven items of clothing, you can leave with up to seven new-to-you items of clothing. All leftover items are donated.

Bunker Bullion Bar

The silver bars of Bunker Bullion are traditional in shapes from grapite and cast-iron molds: rounds, bars, squares, and hearts. He seldom pours bars on pre-shaped molds.

This one is poured from a rectangular cast iron mold.

5.5 troy oz., .999 fine silver, ⭐019 Limited Edition

The ripples on this one reminds me of tossing a stone into water. I suppose they could be called pour ripples or pour rippling. lol

Moulds are ok for bars but can become a bit boring in my opinion but it still adds weight to the stack

I used to do that quite regularly when I first understood the goals of Corporate Consumerism, as a way to fight back against the establishment, and take control of my Finances. The concept came from an Alt Living website whose motto was around the initiative of,"BUY NOTHING DAY!" Thinking outside the box.

Always, with love 🤗 🌺 💖

Very pretty shiny sis!

I like the idea of the swap meet; I've not run across anything like that before interestingly enough. I might have to get one going.

Take care sis!🤗😘🌸💞

Interesting how the pour lines created a circle on the Obverse of this silver bar @silversaver888! I love how the cast iron creates a very unique pattern on the sides of this bar!😀 Very nice my friend!!!😀

Cast iron, and then you have the wooden pours, where it burns the form to create unique shapes! I hope you're surviving the heat wave @silversaver888, it's much cooler up here still humid, looking forward to fall! 😀
