Girls, ladies, and women in general (like I am one ), as well as boys, gentlemen, and men in general, spend on things, "toys" and stuff.

I am a precious metals stacker. Before being one, I would spend on frivolous things, which I personally now consider "fluff" because the things per se had very little intrinsic value.

Precious Metals Stacker

A precious metals stacker (usually a 'silver stacker') is someone who collects physical precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) and oftentimes has targets of accumulating certain ounces of the precious metal within a timeframe. Simply put, the base concept of the term 'silver stacking' comes from having to stack these pieces of silver on top of each other when stored.

I made a decision to start stacking after realizing that precious metals is a way to preserve and store value, and is one of many ways of building wealth. I stack precious metals primarily to save value.

As I learned more about the merits of saving in things of value like precious metals, I stopped buying frivolous fluff. By U.S. standards, I am an average income earner and like everyone else, have just a little bit of disposal income. And because I only have a little to spare every month, I decided on saving on items with real value.

Do you like jewelry? I do. I have all sorts of jewelry, including fashion and fancy jewelry. Beautiful fashion and fancy jewelry can be very pricey. I know this from personal experience.

Then there is jewelry made from precious metals. Silver jewelry is commonly made for sterling silver with a silver content of 92.5% fine silver and sometimes made with 99.9% fine silver. Gold jewelry comes in a wide array of differing gold content.

I am glad to hear that I motivated you, @vgholdingsllc! I get my motivation and inspiration from fellow-stackers as well.

I recall that I started stacking after watching all the full stack videos (in the past, full stacks were common, but we don't do that anymore).

I did this article primarily for @goldmatters and to make up for being away for several months, but also because I want to remind myself again that it is all worth it.

Right you are, @silvertop! It is not somewhere hidden away 😀!
It is amazing... I started with my first piece... it was 3.02 grams of 24K gold... a gold heart charm. And it was the only charm I had. That was in August of 2018. This March 2020, I got myself a lucky horseshoe 24K gold charm that was 2.24 grams. In between, I just kept going... one tiny piece at a time. But guess what... I now have 49.87 grams of gold plus 13.47 grams of platinum in wearable stack. That is just the stacking part of it. The gold & platinum cost me $2,166.29 and now its value is $3,514.17. My Mene stack appreciated by $1,347.88 , and buying them one piece at a time spread through two years. SO COOL! 🥰🌺🤙

Oh, hello @punkysdad! And welcome to my blog! I have heard so much about you from my stacking sis @kerrislravenhill, and wondered when you will come by!
I hope that soon you will be posting articles, and when you do please tag me so that I won't miss it. Well... I just followed you a second ago, and if you do post an article, it will show up on my personal feed.
I think that if one will note that the dates of purchase for each piece were spaced apart, some by a month, others by three months... and to see the accumulated pieces in total.. it clearly demonstrates that stacking slow and steady works. One piece at a time, at one's own pace and according to their personal circumstance... slow and steady wins the race, my friend.

I'm an old guy and this is all new to me. I introduced her to Stacking years ago, never realized she'd be so deep into it. I have supported her for years even loaning a few silver and banknotes from my collection. So coming on here is the same thing supporting the 'Daughter' I never had. Thanks for replyin Ms Saver.

Stacking is cool! You forgot one of my favorite stacking......the unstackable-stackables! For anyone reading this, that means things like sterling silver place settings, bowls, candlesticks, trays, salt shakers-you get the idea!

Stacking silver, gold, platinum and palladium is a wise choice as precious metals hold value!

I love shinies oh yes, want to get into MENE but found a local Indian place with 24k gold that is a naughty naughty bad habit of mine to get shinies from there but it's because they use heavy gold, I love the Leo piece, should get a Gemini one, very cool collection, glad to be in ladies of hive, thanks for modding me, am enjoying it a lot

YOu will find it for sure, @bestie. If you brought it inside your house and you did not mistakenly throw it in the trash can, then it is there. And it has appreciated, bestie 😁 It will show up, if not today then some day in the future. I have given up looking for some of my pieces. I wasn't going to so this, but see... the only way to show the benefits of setting aside a little at a time. If you notice the dates of purchase of those gold and platinum ... they were spaced over the period of two years, and viola!!! a good looking stack of pure gold and platinum. And I started with one piece. The plus is that it appreciated. Whether it appreciated or not, I have clear savings right there!
Hehehe... you noticed! Ya know what, my iPhone loses juice so quickly... and I am constantly having to charge. I dunno what that means, LOL.

My wife was having the same issue with her iPhone and the cost to get it repaired, made it worth upgrading her phone which we did at the time
