#FinancialGoals2021 : Consolidate!

avatar

I'm usually not great at setting specific goals and working towards it. For example, if I ever set a goal of studying a specified number of pages in a specified time, I never finished. On the contrary, if I had no specified set target, I surprised even myself by how much I could get done....the most recent of which happened while I was battling the most gruesome few days in my entire academic life.

So while I need to rest and recharge, all I could see while trying to catch up on a week's worth of chat, was Dada urging people to participate in this initiative and no matter how much rest I need, I need to respond to Dada's call now, don't I! :D And thus here I am, hoping to be just in time for my submission!

So, financial goals for 2021!

My target is going to be divided into two categories, the online aka my cryptocurrency life, and my offline aka Life as a Doctor.

Investment strategy for 2021?

I had just recently graduated and with most of my academic 2020 being wiped out due to exams being cancelled for the pandemic, 2021 is going to be a big career defining year for me. And during such moments, I think it's important to not only focus on growing, but to consolidate first.

Sure, if I decided I'll earn a lot of money I could go all-in and crazy working in private clinics all day long. My peers who are in dire need are doing it, making near 100k a month working in private hospitals. The only problem in me accepting such offers is, it doesn't do any good to me in terms of "advancing" my career. So this year I'll have to chose my battles very wisely and focus on consolidating first.

How does that fall into finance? Simple. Strong base, better job offers from better places. I have a very specific career target, and only a very few of my close people on the chain know about it. It will definitely not happen this year but I hope to set a strong base for that in 2021.

For the cryptocurrency part, I'm really only on HIVE at the moment, slowly trying to reach out into Ethereum. I am also trying to learn trading HIVE...you know, the sell high and buy back low and invest the profit into ETH. Yes, that's pretty much it. But the problem with that is, with my experience in trading, I'm more likely to lose money LoL!

So consolidating becomes important again. I want to grow a decent enough HIVE Power for me to have something to show for my time on the chain in the case of me losing all my hive trying to trade! I had actually started working on this bit since last year. 11 out of my last 20 posts were 100% powered up and I intend to keep doing that in my mid to grow my stake. Growing the stake is in fact consolidating as I do not intend to ever power down and sell....not at least in the near or distant future. We'll see :)

Investments Strategy : Invest in consolidating!

Strategy to grow my Stake : Write more, do more 100% powered up posts, curate.

Specific assets to invest in? Preferred Investment?

Ethereum. Sorry for being too mainstream, but it is what it is! And maybe in Q2 of this year (depending on how much I choose to work in the hospitals) I will look into diverting a portion into HIVE if HIVE is still as under priced as it is. I can already hear the large stakeholders cursing me for wishing HIVE's price to stay low for longer but hey, I'm selfish okay?

Going back offline, my father used to trade in the stock market. As we approach Q3/4 of this year I want to take some time out and pick up some pointers from him. Maybe dip my toes a bit in the Stocks Exchange market too...but not trying to get too far ahead of myself. Baby steps.

Specific Assets to Invest in : Ethereum, HIVE

Preferred Investment : Crypto, Stocks

Price Predictions

I don't do predictions at all but I'd love to see HIVE and LEO hover above $0.5 for the next year. I know, I know...we all wanna see $5 HIVE and maybe we will in a couple years time. But I'm trying to be a bit conservative with my hopes!

I completely understand, since this era is of multitasking. One should depend their finances on many other sources as well.
Hope your plans comes true. Keep flourishing.

You're absolutely spot on! With the economy being so volatile, it's always safer to not have all eggs in one basket! Thank you dropping by :))
