Spinvest-leo update

avatar

@spinvest-leo has been significantly impacted by recent events on the now HIVE blockchain. Tribe tokens have taken a battering, and there is still much uncertainty as to how some tribes will progress. Many tribes have now directed their posts to HIVE, but obviously the tokens are still on STEEM via Steem-Engine. Some will migrate to Hive-Engine, some won't.

The main difficulty I am having is that the tribe vote multiplier tool I have been using isn't working. I haven't had the time to figure out how to fix that, so tribe income is drying up completely for this account. For now, what I need to do is clear the autovoter, and just focus VP on our primary tribe which is LEOFinance. This will impact earnings from alt-tribes moving forward.

The other difficulty I have had has been my time to actually work on Spinvest-leo. I'm still working my normal hours - Supermarket work has become some of the safest employment around during these tough times. Normally, I'd have plenty of time during the day for HIVE, but at the moment, the kids are home from school, and using the computer a lot, and needing help with their school work and so on. Spinvest-leo has had to take a back seat for the foreseable future.

The new plan.

My plan now is to scale back autovotes to just the LEO tribe. All other token holdings will stay as is, and wait for circumstances to improve. I'll sell 50% of LEO earnings each week, and convert those funds to SPI. Once a month I'll send rewards out to delegators based on a percentage share. So the account will operate much like the Spinvest-neo account. This is the best I can come up with for now. I think this will significantly decrease the token rewards for delegating, compared to the old system. I would encourage everyone to review your delegations and see if it is still in your best interest to continue.

I have staked all token holdings today, and will start tracking returns again. On the weekend I will have some time to adjust the Auto-votes and get the system back running for LEO tribe earnings at least.

Thanks.

Just wanted to quickly thank everyone for your patience while I work through the new circumstances we face. In the grand scheme of life at the moment, Spinvest-leo is a minor concern, but I just wanted to try and keep you all updated and keep the program happening. Bear with me if I don't seem to be as involved, but real life is priority for now.

Cheers,

@jk6276

Ty for update.
Have you considered powering down selling for hive and curating for hive.
You would have a broader field to curate wouldn't be alot to begin with but would soon add up plus you still have all the delegation to carry on leo curation.
It doesnt look good for tribes even though they are pointing fingers there tokenomics make zero sense and will all end up pointless if not already so why not think ahead and start "hiving" up now.
