Shifting Of Values: Effects On The World Of Money

Recent events are leaving little doubt to most that we have a major problem with our financial system. As much as the media tries to portray this differently, it is becoming obvious to many that we are seeing a major failure of the global economy. All that we were told for more than a decade was a facade.

Now we have bailouts, stimulus, and money printing that is, for the most part, directed at the same individuals who are benefiting from the collapse. Trillions of dollars is going into the hands of the bankers for them to decide how to distribute it. Banks, being after their own interests, are tightening lending standards just as people need them.

Of course, why not give the money to the bankers in an effort to take care of society? They showed such talent in this area over the years. I guess the fact that American banks were fined more than $250 billion since the end of the last financial crisis means little.

This pandemic is also seeing a greater rise in the surveillance state. Eventually, this is going to make the post-9/11 events seem mild. We are already seeing applications put out by the likes of Apple that will alert us to anyone who comes near with the virus. Of course, to do that, it means that everyone will be monitored.

Speaking of Apple, amidst this crisis, the company announced that $50 billion in dividends and stock buybacks are still on. That is what I call a company in touch with the pulse of the general public. This on the day when it was announced that the new unemployment claims topped 30 million in the last 7 weeks.

To many, all of this makes a lot of sense. They will defend this system until their last breath. Unfortunately, this is not a system that is working out for many.

At least Apple makes something while providing innovation. It isn't just another rent seeker taking a sliver off every transaction, driving up the costs of doing business which is something that does trickle down. Ultimately, people feel the impact of that either through reduced pay or job elimination.

Money at all costs is the foundation of the present system. It is a rigged game as we all know and the effects are devastating. Over the years, the situation as worsened as evidenced by many metrics.

Thus, it is time for something new. One of the reasons why there is so much hope surrounding crypto-economics is because it is a new model that obliterates the present system. Essentially, we are looking at a better financial model.

It is one that is based upon values. People are free to decide what they feel is important. The term "community" is starting to make its way back into the vocabulary of people. As a community, we all have a vested interest in doing what is best for all. Obviously, some are going to be a bit slow to this end but, then again, they suffered under the present system all their lives.

Money became a value. How much do I have and how much more can I get? The psychopaths that are at the top of the food chain have shown what they are about. It becomes clearer everyday.

Sovereignty is not something valued by our society. This is allowed for people to be trapped into slavery. With each passing crisis, we see freedoms eliminated. It is not enough to be groped at the airport in the name of protecting us. Now, for our own safety, we need to he monitored wherever we are and be alerted if someone has the virus.

It is time to start starving the system. Their survival depends upon our support. When we remove our money from the banking system, that hits them where it hurts. Dropping out of the voting ranks eliminates our support of a valueless system. Shutting off the mainstream media and not helping their advertising revenues goes a long way of breaking free from the slavery mindset.

We often talk about transparency, immutability, freedom, and sovereignty. These are not just nice buzzwords to throw around. They are values that we should hold dear. Certainly, these are not what the parasites in government or at the top of corporations discuss. Their aim is the exact opposite.

To them, it is all about control, which means power.

Cryptocurrency has to reach out to the people who are starting to wake up to this fact. These are values that we can espouse that will hold merit with many individuals. As the mega-corporations assume more control, especially big tech, the noose is only going to get tighter.

People's avenue to money is being cut off. Wages were stagnant for decades. Now, with the massive loss of jobs, people are going to have to turn to the governments for money. This is a very dangerous situation. Of course, free money is something that people are conditioned to look down upon, unless you are a banker or a major corporation. They have been receiving free money for decades while everyone else struggles.

We embrace ideologies while they could care less. Their aim is clear yet we get caught up in the right versus left propaganda while they are robbing us blind. It matters none whether it is door A or door B when you own the house.

Money is changing. We are seeing a great deal more focus upon cryptocurrency. Over the last month, there are a lot of individuals talking about how institutions and venture capital firms are starting to ramp up. This is a sector they are going to enter.

Naturally, they will approach it like they always did. The key to our survival is the flexibility of this system and the desire to NOT be controlled. The Hive-Steem conflict showed how that is the case.

We have not seen the last individual or entity who is going to enter in hopes of buying up what is wanted. That is how business is done today. After all, the only focus is upon the money. Destroying something matters little as long as those at the top cash out with a profit.

It is time to put our values at the forefront. They can take that approach all they way, we simply will say no. Flexibility and the ability to "move" is our greatest asset. In the digital world, for the users, this basically means using a different URL.

A crisis is an opportunity. The actions of those who are in power reveal this. It is time for us to do the same thing.

We can leverage the events of today for gain. As people become more open to different ideas as their individual situations worsen, we can see a path to siphoning power away from the present system.

Money is a tool. Unfortunately, from what we see, it has become the end.

This will change as we spread wealth accumulation throughout the world via blockchain and cryptocurrency. The ability to get rewarded in this space is growing by the day.

Over time, more people are going to realize this.
