wLEO Liquidity Pool breaks 1M

avatar

wLEO Liquidity pool on UniSwap broke $1M USD reserve today. That's a lot of scratch!

I have been following wLeo pretty closely, not only because I have a decent amount locked up myself, but I am also curious how this plays out. About an hour ago someone bought around 21,000 wLEO with 8 Ethereum.

Most swaps are around or under 1 Ethereum in either direction, but I have noticed a few larger swaps. I have also seen some larger swaps in the other direction as well.

Looking at my investment though, I am very happy with how it is turning out.

106% w/ market gains right now, if you just look at the liquidity pool numbers I lost about $175. Granted a large portion of these gains are the result of Ethereum's explosive growth right now. This isn't even factoring in the monthly geyser payouts, with the second monthly payout coming soon, it's looking pretty good.

When wLEO 1.0 was announced I wasn't quite sold on the idea and sold around half of my Leo taking advantage of the rising price. While I am a big fan of Leo, I take everything in consideration when making decisions. It looked like it was the best play at the time. I purchased some of the wLeo back after the hack which I just sat on.

When wLeo 2.0 was live, I bought all my Leo back and then some. I put all of it into wLeo liquidity pool on day one of the announcement.

Recently, I started to power down all my Leo voting power and was considering moving 100% to the liquidity pool. I had personal reasons for this decision and it wasn't 100% related to performance.

With the announcement of the coming Leo Airdrop, I decided to move a little more to the wLeo liquidity pool and power the rest back up. I don't stake Leo on my main account due to difficulty of using ScotBot voting power on a primary account but rest assured I do have a significant Leo Stake as well as my LP holdings.

With the 2nd geyser payout coming up around the corner along with an unannounced Airdrop, it is looking like a solid investment.

As for the secret airdrop, I don't have any more information than you, but my gut is telling me it will be a new token (mLeo?) for a new microblogging (think Twitter/Facebok) platform. I don't know how this will be technically executed but that's what I am guessing is going to happen. The airdrop will drop tokens for this new platform based on your staked Leo, staked Leo miners, and wLeo pooled tokens. This is all just a guess and it could be a new hit tv show on HBO about Ninjas, cause I'd watch that shit.

Still trying to wrap my head around the "W" stuff and it's not easy. I'll be staked in Leo and wait for the airdrop and then go hardcore into microblogging. I do feel left out on the sidelines during this bull run and it feels weird. I've basically left the Leo team to do the thinking lol.

wLeo is Leo but wrapped in an Ethereum smart contract so it can be traded on Ethereum. With that comes many opportunities.

Hi, can one figure out, how much from that LP runup to >1Mio is due to the rising ETH/WLEO prices and how much is due to actually added liquidity? Since both went up so crazily, I guess the new net influx wasn´t that big. Anyway, it is so key that we have this pool!

PS: Oops, just found out, there was 0 added recently. Seems to be not needed! I thought originally, the more in the pool the better, but WLEO is doing great with the current amount :)

I was buying up Leo heavily before Justin Sun took over Steem. Then that threw everything up in disarray. All tribes took a beating when moving to Hive, and I wasn't sure what would happen. I wish I just kept buying at 0.1 whaled up.

I thought the implication from one of Khal's posts was that this airdrop is going to be some kind of weird umbrella corporation type token. Like maybe a token that runs a sidechain rewarding second layer nodes that validate the entire system. Seems like they are actually working on three things at once that this airdrop could be targeting, but somehow I doubt it's a microblogging thing because Khal seems really excited about it like it's a real game-changer... and IMO microblogging isn't that.

You have to have Leo powered up to take part in the airdrop if I understand correctly ?

I was finally able to buy a small amount of wLEO this morning. I understand what you were saying now about it not being worth it for small investors. I am just going to hold what I have and see what happens. I don't think I can afford the gas prices to put it in a liquidity pool.

I am still hesitent a bit. The problem I have is simple, I never had any Leo. I bought some near par, but it is hard for me to buy above par. Therefore, I only managed about 1 ETH worth. Now that boat had sailed. But I have no regret either. Lets see how this experiment unfolds. I remain fully supportive of the project and ready to accumulate LEO by conventional means. But it will take me a long time now to get the next 1 ETH worth.

Leo’s got things figured out! Their success is amazing, hopefully this has a good impact on other projects as well.

Leo is the blueprint

I am new to Leofinance and new to investing in Cryptocurrencies. I was wondering, if you only have small amounts of cryptos can you still earn anything in these liquidity pools or are the fees to high? Also, what advice would you give a new person on how to participate in the Leo Airdrop?

Small amounts for participating is not really worth it mostly because of high ETH fees...to participate In the leo airdrop, you need to have some powered up leo or leo miners

microblogging that looks good. Since twitter and facebook bans and suspend a lot users because post different opinions with the giants social media. Microblogging based on leo development will be the next decentralized and censorship resistant.
