CUB Finance is finally here | Trying to wrap my head around Binance Smart Chain

Finally, CUB finance is launched

And it has been the talk of the town, not a day went by without people discussing the soon to be released CUB finance and/or all the new doors it would open. To me, it was only confusing and I had no idea what to expect besides a "maybe" airdrop after a snapshot. Because even that was unclear to me if everyone would get a drop or not. I decided to just wait until the big moment and see what would happen.

I've been postponing learning about the Binance Smart Chain

Simply because I had to focus on liquidating some coins to purchase a car last week first. The weeks before the actual purchase have mostly been about that topic and I've been gradually cashing out stuff to make sure I wasn't going to cut myself in the crypto fingers with the current prices at the time of purchase. Honestly, after the car was bought, I didn't like looking at the new portfolio value anymore because I had to get used to the new amount. We've been building up towards this amount and in a short time, suddenly the value was a lot less. I had no interest to also dive into the new world of the Binance smart chain, even though I knew it would be inevitable.

Before I could even wrap my head around CUB finance and all the options

I woke up seeing CUB crossed the 10 dollar price and just shortly after I noticed that, it even hit $ 11 !! Wow, that's amazing! So curious to see where this price will go.

Getting a small sense of FOMO here, and wondering what I should do? Should I move the BNB I have on a non Binance exchange to Binance? Should I move it to Metamask? No idea what the best way is and more important: the way with as few fees as possible.

I need to decide on what's the best way to handle the transactions

The initial reason I bought BNB yesterday was to buy some UNI, and I didn't decide yet if I would do so on 1 or 2 accounts, for possible future airdrops of UNI on Uniswap, so that was my first struggle what I should do. Now this CUB finance thing is making it even more complicated, I see people are super excited and it's a big thing that has been released, while I had no liquid LEO left, I powered up, and I never used wLEO anyway, because of trying to avoid ERC20 transactions since some weeks.

I think I will wait until the airdrop has happened

So that I can at least know for sure if I got any, and what I need to claim it, I assume I will need some tokens somewhere to do so to make the transaction. I may be wrong, but I should find out in some hours so it seems. I think it's the smartest move for now as I don't have any other bags to liquidate currently to correct any errors I'd make with these transactions.

Easy to add the Binance Smart Chain to your metamask wallet

Thanks to some other posts here in LeoFinance, I at least found out that adding the Binance smart chain was super easy so that's a start! Here's what you need to do.

First, go to settings and click on Networks.

Click on Add network.

As you can see, I already added it, so I can't click save and there's a message saying this address is already in the list of networks. Here's the info so you can easily copy-paste it rather than typing it from a screenshot.

Now you're as far as I am in this journey

I haven't figured out the rest yet, so this is as far as my contribution goes for now.
I'm very happy to see many people are writing about the topic, so I'm quite sure there's enough help to figure out what to do when there are questions.

Fingers crossed for the upcoming airdrop :)
