Ugly Nose Silver 😂
As promised in my post a few days ago, I'll spend the next few posts talking about my recent silver additions from Sweden.
So, today we have a 1 Krona from 1946, featuring Gustaf the fifth.
Just look at his ugly fat nose, lol
Here's some quick info about him from Wikipedia:
Gustaf V (Oscar Gustaf Adolf; 16 June 1858 – 29 October 1950) was King of Sweden from 1907 until his death in 1950. He was the eldest son of King Oscar II of Sweden and Sophia of Nassau, a half-sister of Adolphe, Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Reigning from the death of his father Oscar II in 1907 to his own death nearly 43 years later, he holds the record of being the oldest monarch of Sweden and the third-longest rule, after Magnus IV and Carl XVI Gustaf. source and more info
Around his ugly mug, the coin reads "GUSTAF·V·SVERIGES·KONUNG MED·FOLKET·FÖR·FOSTERLANDET. EL.TS" for "Gustaf V King of Sweden With the People for the Motherland"
Ok, let's see the other side of the coin
Here we have the value of the coin, the minting date and the Swedish coat of arms surrounded by the Chain of the Seraphim Order. The seraphim what?

The Royal Order of the Seraphim is a Swedish order of chivalry created by King Frederick I on 23 February 1748, together with the Order of the Sword and the Order of the Polar Star. The order has only one class with the dignity of Knight (Member for women and Member of the Cloth for clergymen), and is the foremost order of Sweden. source and more info
As for the edge, nothing fancy here:
Sizewise, it's slightly bigger then a standard euro coin

When it comes to silver, this is a low purity piece. It weights 7 g of 0.400 silver so 2.8 g of silver in total. With today's spot price per gram at 0.61$, that's about 1.7$ worth of silver!

It is strange to find a man or a leader without hair. His nose is beautiful in my opinion it is my favorite type.
Its value in silver less than half remains a good option. Swedish Euro coins are amazing on design

I really wish to have one of this coin lol it's really nice.
I wonder why did they surrounded the cote of arms with Patriarchal Crosses and medals, were they showing any dominance over Jews or just an alignment with the duchy of Anjou a former part of France in Hungary.
Anyway when you melt it it will give you real nice silver ore.

Dunno Trumpy, not sure this is one of your better finds. Usually I'm taken by your coin designs, or the coin's value. This one, much like the nose, is a bit flat.
