Unarguably, incentivsed writing is the best approach to hewn out quality piece from authors and content creators. I've been writing for close to a decade now as a means of livelihood with contents ranging from technical piece to blog posts. A striking experience is the levity with which some academia and research scholars treat their work is disheartening. If you ask them, you'll here that no one really cares whether they're putting in good efforts or not. This is why we have junks out there in the internet in the name of academic journals.

Having discovered the above problem, I have always been an advocate of incentivised research and academic writing to encourage the participants to give in their best being assured that at least some aspect of their time and diligence is well appreciated and perhaps paid for. Here on Hive, I have also been appealing to communities to engage authors with writing contests with some tangibly defined prizes.

Two wees ago, I started a weekly writing contest I tag #AboutHiveDapps with the intention of encouraging content creators to crowd the search engines with topics and contents discussing and explaining the awesome Dapps on the Hive blockchain. I started out with LeoFinance Dapps since I have some tangible stakes that can give out tangible vote rewards as well as liquid LEO tokens especially now that LEO has become Gold. The first epistle was Hivestats. I had two entries stated here that earned 10LEO each vested to their account.

I choose top vest my rewards in addition to updates because I want to build new LEO stakeholders on the Leofinance ecosystem. I'll gradually add Dapps from other Hive communities but concentration shall be on the second layer dapps.

I decided to close the submission of the contest early so as to share the results early which could also afford them some more supports from the community curators before payout.

The beautiful thing is that the entries were from a user who is new to the Leofinance community and this would motivate him to be more active in the community.

Education should be a pillar in HIVE in general and Communities more granular. And for sure the LEO Finance is a wide domain that needs education, financial culture is missing from so many countries. I welcome your initiative and hope to be part of future ones.
