Monday night is #handpouredmonday night.... Why? Because I said so!!
In what was meant to be a regular, weekly thing, but #handpouredmonday kind of died a death after its first outing, 2 weeks ago.... I get that it's not a very catchy tag, but between my fellow silver stacker, in the #silvergoldstackers community, I thought it would at least run for a few consecutive weeks.
So in an attempt to flog a dying horse, and kick start the greatest tag on the blockchain, I once again give you #handpouredmonday
This beauty is the work of a fellow Brit and silvergoldstackers community member - @monsterjamgold or as he was back then @gdwcoins
As I was fishing through my community chest, this bar caught my eye and brought back some good memories. Who else can remember when STEEM was going to save us....?? My good friend @silverstackeruk was regularly posting random videos and always finished every video with a catchphrase. Hence why the "steem on, stack on, smoke on, I'm gone" was born.
I was very jealous when he had a silver bar made for him by @monsterjamgold with his now infamous catchphrase struck on it, and when monsterjamgold made an extra one and put it up for sale I knew I just had to have it.
Stamped "925" and "74G", this bar is exactly what it says it is. 74 grams of 925 Silver... 925 or Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and is what UK circulating coins were made of, until base metal (cupro-nickel) was introduced to save money.
In case you didn't know, monsterjamgold spends his time buying and selling coins. So it got me thinking what coins he actually did melt down to make this great little bar.

Cheers VG, I do miss his random videos. He doesn't post from his private account very often anymore, which is a shame. He definitely has a unique sense of humour and personality.

Sometimes I think 5o myself I wish I had saved the fiat and just bought more bullion. Silver is silver right?? Then I look at my community chest and remember every single one of these pieces has a story and isn't mass produced. You can't really put a price on the time, the effort and the memories each item has connected to it.
