The other day the little man and I enjoyed some good fishing! In order to achieve that though, we have to also do some work.

Improved Fishing

One of the things that I’ve been trying to do, with some moderate success, is to show the little man that being organized is very important. I never really appreciated when my dad would impress on me that having an organized environment is important for a lot of reasons. One of the main reasons of keeping it organized is so that you can find things! LOL. I've had some issues with losing things, for example I can't find some of my favorite shorts for some obnoxious reason. It's vexing me but I'm suffering through it.

With things that are enjoyable like fishing however, organization is important for a good fishing trip a lot of the time! When you can't find the right tools or fishing implements, you are going to have a difficult time either catching fish or using something to help let them go.

One of the times we went fishing recently I got fed up, we had two bags, fishing poles, a tray and some other stuff that I had to carry since the little man was carrying his pole and the worm. That led me to go out and buy the necessary improvement to our tackle: a fishing bag! This ended up being an awesome purchase, it included four containers inside it so that I could store the various things that we've collected.

The little man was lucky and snagged this one! I was trying to take a picture of him holding it and it ended up flopping around and getting dropped lol oops. Got it into the water though! I learned that a good way for us to handle these fish is to have the little man use a pair of needlenose pliers so that he can grab it without fear of getting bit.

I also learned that this bass, just like the one immediately above it in the picture, is a type of "black bass" that shares familial traits and lines with both largemouth bass and crappie. I don't know if people cross-bred them but they are a pretty good fish! They fight good and are a decent size so we had fun catching these ones.

One of the days we went fishing ended up being incredibly hot but this location was great because it had a nice breeze. I ended up talking to the guy that owned the house in front of the little man and that shed on the water right there? That's his home-office! Shit do I have to add that to life goals hahaha. Have a home office in a shed on the water. He admitted sometimes it is a little hard to get work done but I would still love that. Life goals folks!
