Today was a successful day of orders for the little small business we’ve created!

Multiple Fronts

So one of the things my wife Siena and I have been in the habit of for many years is getting a little side hustle going. That most often entailed working for a company or someone else but a few years ago she got wind of a company selling things online, as well as in person of course, and you could sign up to be your own registered company franchise under their umbrella. She said yeah why not, it could end up being worth it if you get in at the right time. Two years later, it’s thankfully been taking off!

This past week, she got in over 80 different orders for all kinds of stuff and that’s what we spent all day doing. I didn’t realize how much work she was putting into it, my own fault for not being more interested in helping but trying to do a lot of stuff at once myself, I guess I wasn’t in the mental state in order to want to do more. When things really started picking up a few months ago though, I started trying to ask what else I could do to help. I was logging orders for a bit, making sure the volume matched what we were sending out and we didn’t miss any packages from the company. Thankfully that’s been a pretty easy thing to do but it wasn’t as much help to her as actually doing the packaging itself. She had sort of a system with what she was doing and I understand with me being a complete noob at it, I wasn’t giving her a lot of confidence that I could not mess it up lol. Thankfully that got better and now these past few weekends, when I’m not working myself, we’ve spent the whole day or two just doing orders and getting things ready to ship! Today was the most orders in one group, 83 different packages!

I think with things like small businesses, even if you are just a franchisee, what you have to do is be a business family together. It wasn’t too bad in the beginning but it also wasn’t very profitable to do. Even now we aren’t sure exactly how profitable it is but it is in the green so that’s good at least. I think one of the best things for her though, since she’s a professional mom, is the ability to have something to mentally engage herself in that isn’t the little man. We all need to do adult things so having that is a big benefit. Now that I’m picking up a lot of the work myself, I think we could even handle more business volume. I’m not advertising it on here, sorry but I’m trying to keep the crypto thing and this business separate for now. We may start to expand out but no word on that yet. I’m mainly trying to keep a shred of anonymity here, it’s not a lot and I’m sure if someone was aggressive enough they could figure it out but until we want to (if we ever do) go full on ‘this is who we are’ I’ll keep it the way it is!

Sometimes it’s pretty easy to get involved with these sales companies. You just have to time it right, which is impossible to know, and you could have a little bit of success and fun doing it! One of the really important things with the company, just like here on hive, is the engagement. My wife’s customers and her team tell her all the time they love her group and concept the most because she’s engaging. She’s talking to them often, encouraging and constantly posting to keep things interesting. Lots of us say it on here, the most important thing is engagement! Without it, you won’t get much of anywhere!
