There are reasons to be proud of myself?. Weekend-Engagement Concept [WE107]

Hello to everyone in this beloved community. Today I am here to participate in this weekend's initiative thanks to the invitation of @germandradeg. Which really motivated and inspired me to tell about my experiences and how it has impacted my life.

It is important to comment that throughout our lives we learn and receive information. When we are young our parents strive for their children to receive better education and have more opportunities than them.

This is my case, my parents were humble. My motherless father was raised by my grandmother. My mother was an orphan of a mother and father she never knew. She was raised by her aunt. Truly beings worthy of standing up.

I tell this, because despite being simple people and raised in a way they wanted to have a family. The values and principles my parents instilled in me have a lot to do with who I am now.

The reasons to be proud

Having finished my studies and receiving my professional degree represented a great achievement for me and one that I am proud of. Since I worked and studied.

I don't want to bore you with a summary of my professional degrees or anything like that. I just want to reflect here that nothing I achieved was easy. In the midst of complicated situations that today I ask myself, "How did I do it? Sometimes I don't even believe it myself.

But yes, friends, I did my first graduate degree when I had my oldest daughter very young in the middle of a divorce and two jobs. One that I had from 8:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening with two hours off and the other that started at 6:00 until 8:00 at night. And also on Saturdays half day.

When I had a graduate class at work I was allowed to attend. Those were times when I had a lot of energy. But my parents supported me at all times and took care of my oldest daughter who was only 3 years old. Sometimes when I had to study with my classmates I would take her in my arms. I would put her to bed with my classmates. And that's how it was. It was not only the face-to-face classes that required attention. But also the distance work. And finally the final thesis.

Many of those who did this postgraduate course with me were not able to receive their degree because they had not done their final work. My classmates were very intelligent people with outstanding participation. But nevertheless they did not finish.

I feel very proud of my personal achievements because you not only have to be intelligent but also perseverant, constant and make an effort to finish what you start.

Then there was another postgraduate degree and other training courses that I took under other even more complex circumstances. My family grew and me with three young children all. I managed another graduate degree.

When I resigned from my first job, life became a little complicated for me; I had taken on many commitments. I spent only one month without a job, since I found another job and in which I lasted 20 years. This is another aspect to be proud of. I found another job quickly and retired from it.

My stay in this job was very difficult. Because it is a university and above all because of the teaching work. I never imagined myself as a teacher but I took on my role with a lot of enthusiasm. I was not good at public speaking but I have to tell you that I tried my best to give my best.

At the school where I was hired, at the beginning I was part-time, since there were no subjects to be taught by an Industrial Engineer because it was the School of Management.

But I had to create my own subject that could give me exclusive time so I could have an adequate salary to support my family. I designed the program of the subject and presented it with all its supports for its analysis and approval.

You know, I did it, I was approved. But something I have not told you. The subject area was related to the action area of my first job. What do you think? I worked in Industrial Safety. And I designed my own subject, a Professional Elective for the Administration Career of a University.

This is something I can say I am proud of.

Before that happened I was like a ball back and forth and I was assigned to teach at other schools than the one that originally hired me. That was overwhelming for me because semester after semester I had to prepare content from different areas and it was driving me crazy with so many demands and as I said I had to flip the switch to be able to teach three totally different subjects in three different places in the same university.

During this time I tell you that something very interesting happened and of which I am proud. One of the subjects I taught at the university was statistics for the Sociology program. A great challenge.

To teach this subject I had to study a lot, prepare guides, exercises and practice a lot. As I said before, it was a great challenge. In addition to apply to the context of the career.

One day after finishing that semester and having made my debut as a statistics teacher. A student to whom I had given statistics classes comes up to me and says: ***"- thank you for motivating me to major in sociology in the area of statistics-" ***.

It filled me with emotion to have inspired someone with my subject being the first time to teach it, without a doubt it fills me with a lot of satisfaction and pride.

There are many things to be proud of. Today I can tell you that I am creating content writing with my right index finger and holding the cell phone with my left hand. I have managed to make several posts, and I must say that I would not have imagined it. The phone downloads fast and I have to plug it in frequently and here I am almost ready to publish.

Isn't this a reason to be proud?
Almost three years without a smart phone and I have never used a phone the way I do today. I have three months using it and it feels great as back to life.

I feel proud of myself for accomplishing so much in the midst of some pretty difficult circumstances. I have many people to thank, especially my parents for instilling in me values and principles that make me feel proud of myself today.

Being perseverant, having willpower and resilience in the face of adversity, have made me what I am today and I want to say that I must emphasize and highlight that while I am achieving things in my life I am also working on HUMILITY.

Thank you for reading and I hope you liked knowing part of my life

It's a great deal of work in becoming a graduate. You need to devote much time to studying both morning and night.

Hmm... You made me remember when I was still in school. It's not easy, but we're grateful now, we are now proud of ourselves.

Thank you friend for such a nice message. I am very glad that you were able to read my post. As you say it is not easy at all, since many times we need to work and study at the same time. But whatever our circumstances are we should feel proud of ourselves. Whatever we achieve in our lives, we should be proud of it. It is a pleasure to have you here.

Felicidades por todo lo logrado. Cada logro alcanzado representa sacrificio y somos nosotros mismos quienes les damos el valor, increíble cómo hiciste todo, me preguntaba ¿Cómo hacía? Pero el que quiere, lo logra
