Engage the Weekend #18: My Music Groove

IMG_20201023_051547.jpg

Hi there! This is my first time to join here and I hope that I am on the right track.

One of my favorite music is Unchained Melody. It is our theme song actually, so that explains it, right?

This song perfectly fitted our way of life since the beginning. He was a sailor and a second mate officer which added to his ruggedly handsome features. The thing is, he's always away on board his ship as a sailor until we got married.

I sang this song, reminiscing the past. Well, am not a singer my friends so please bear with me, okay? Lol!

(The original song was sang by The Righteous Brothers.)

We were married for thirty long years. It was a bittersweet romance with him away from his family for months or even a year but that was his profession. That was his only means to support his family. We were gifted with five intelligent kids. He was a good provider and husband but temptation was everywhere as a sailor. Women became my worst enemies. He was no longer mine alone. My kids became my strength, they were the wind beneath my wings. I now live for them. Well he had lived life to the fullest. With all his faults, I chose to remember the good times we've had along with our kids.

My thanks to @galenkp for this awesome community.

Good day everyone!

Till then,

Wait where is he now? Are you no longer together? Good move focussing on the good times, otherwise you just become angry and bitter. Better to sing! I like this song too.

I used "was", right? He went home after 12 long years a very sick man and died 6 most. We were very much in love but fate had taken its toll. It was not a happy ending.
