The shitty secrets of Ludo Nert - part 1

Ludo Nert; nobody ever gave a shit about that guy. He was short, shorthaired, always sweating and shooting glances in every direction as if he was guilty of something obscene; something perverse. But truth was that nobody thought he had it in him to do anything that interesting.
He fixed the typing machines at the Red Light Gazette, and kept the mysterious hard table, where all the articles were archived, running. An important job. For sure. He also had to sweep the floors when everybody had left the building.
One day when he was sitting doing nothing, throwing those, nervous guilty glances in all directions, a lady stepped into the hard table room. It was Runt Odel, always alight with indignant energy. Ludo felt cold inside.
‘Can you help me, boy! I am looking for an article written by Daphne du Mer – about siege engines – I think I will be able to get the better of some deserving aristocrats with that article.
‘I can't. Those articles are protected by the editors secret key!’ Ludo stammered.
Runt looked at him indignantly. Then she left the room. Outside he could hear her asking Nora the clerc about him.
‘Oh, don't worry, madam. It's Ludo Nert; nobody ever gave a shit about that guy.’

Could be Ludovic which I just looked up to be a latin language version of Ludwig - but it also means a game on latin proper.

Strange how imagined persons get a life of their own in seconds. I wanted to write about a nasty, petty, evil little bugger, but I am feeling sorry for him too. It has gotten even worse in part 2.
