Hear the story of a broken heart, an ending life
A facade of a happy man.
Hear and learn the story he hasn't told
and no one seldom knows
His face is the summary of his life, a story told to children as tales of moonlight.
Pale eyes, his sight defies hope
for there's none his faith holds
Dear old man, no man is his friend now
For they all passed away and he's left all alone now
Aggressive suffering..
his lips held tight from agony untold
I write you the facade of a man who's heart is filled with heaviness. uncertainty of the next life lingers and his eyes gets misty by the thought of it and he quivers to his fingers.
A facade, i mean, a lifetime where his best moments are behind him, truth.
The times where he could boast of the strength of his youth.
I write to you, it's a story of a man who always watched the sunset with his young woman in the field, singing her favorite song and playing his strings down to the night.
Looking her in the eyes, he would tell her of her beauty likened to the morning light, who watched with fright as his fear of losing her came slowly to reality.
The happiness of this man is all a facade, he's just a sad old fellow.

This is a supportive and sensitive poetic text. It speaks of the ability to observe and interpret the other.

I enjoyed reading it, but remember that our community is dedicated to short stories.

You are expressive and sensitive enough to write short stories. Please read carefully, before posting, the rules of our community on its homepage.

We are a short story community. Just as you would not publish gardening tips in a gaming community, we ask that people don't publish content other than short stories in The Ink Well. Thanks for understanding!
