A Perfectly Imperfect Footprint

Deep within my courageous heart, I swore to myself to strive even harder to get the most alluring spark in life and leave a perfectly imperfect footprint.

My life has been a journey of the challenges of the natural world toward the star. Growing up, I was not privileged to have everything I needed.

It was a dreamy night in 1995 when my heart spoke to the star while the Moon shone brightly. My five-year-old self closed her eyes and told the shining star, “Someday, I will reach you!”

I grew up in the middle of rural and urban life out of silver spoon but with hopes of luck and inspiration. My mother was my inspiration, my strength, and my guiding light. Her love and care were so loud, and I knew I could count on her constantly. Her passion helped me become strong, resilient, and brave enough to face the thorns of life.

Living a life out of silver spoon humbly allowed me to grow little by little to fly freely like the flock of birds up in the sky, along with the graciously small puffy clouds. But never in my wildest dreams that I aggressively pursue kissing goodbye to the shining Moon and stars while I was tearfully surfing the turbulence of life.

Indeed, my life had its tears to wipe, its sweat to dry, and its thorns to conquer. However, I never let the turbulence of life get the worst of me, for I am breathing from within and openly well-loved by nature's tender loving care with the most calming breeze ever.

Consequently, I always wondered and wandered like a child waiting for the angels to sing melodies of triumph. I strived hard, fought hard, and gripped my hands tightly, even in every rocky path I took and every road of despair where my feet led me.

I precisely walked closer to the Sun and grasped the brightest ray of light to teach and touch lives towards success in extending frontiers of hope, faith, and goodwill forever.

I immensely enjoyed my childhood days while I played in the mud, swam in the creeks, dived in the deep-blue sea, climbed on the hills, ran after a tree, and flew in the sky while secretly dancing in the rain.

And I was once a hopeless little child, rejected and betrayed, yet I was so lucky enough because I was loved by many hearts who did not leave me even in my darkest hour.

Weakly strong as I was, I continued living for my dreams no matter what life brought me. I stayed focused though sometimes having a vision as accurate as the bull's eye was blindly clear and foggy, but one thing was sure of my life, that is, no space for giving up. I may have fallen and stumbled many times, but I had always risen every time.

Still, it can be a rendezvous full of precious memories worth living for through the candidly surrounding gems and jewels with pure and soft hearts full of knowledge and wisdom, believing that I can grind today and shine tomorrow with the touch of the brightest star shining through the night.

My life is like a mysterious cave with many stories to tell and screams to hear. However, I am still grateful because I was softly embraced and tightly hugged by the eternal summer, which lightened my path toward the darkest cave on an autumn day I habitually dwelled in the past.

I had candidly chosen to take the road less traveled, and life was never easy because there was no elevator to success. I took the less traveled route to the soft, hollow, and craggy paths. I am not dreaming of being the most successful person in the world, but at least I have tried and dreamed of overcoming all the struggles in life.

Despite being less fortunate, but was blessed in mysterious ways. I may say in my little way that somehow, I, too, am successful because I am no longer the same person I was yesterday who would love to fantasize about a daydream and fall asleep back over and over again. And now, all that I wanted was to live happily and leave a perfectly imperfect footprint to radiate positivity and inspire others.

One day, I saw the brightest star I talked about 27 years ago, “I am already waking up with a tiny rainbow in the sky. I wake up daily with the colorful birds singing on my glass window, bringing the sweetness and bitterness of life's surprising melody!”, I said proudly full of humility.
