Thank you very much for coming back with your story. It actually is more effective as a story than as a poem. That is not always true, but in this case it is.
The battle between her wings and her heart is symbolic of the very human battle between good and evil. It is a battle represented by many world religions. You handle the theme well. The goddess must perish as good prevails, but she can no longer endure evil.

Indeed her good heart had to find a way to have control over wings but it only means she will lose her life too but it's better that way for her.
