Another day of decoration with the event master (Obong event)
This is funeral decoration at Afaha Etok village in ibesikpo Asutan local Government Area. I arrived there at 9am because the village is a bit far from where my office is.
I arrived there with my working tools like, the fabrics, thumb tags, office pins nails hammer etc.
I started by using my clean white fabric to cover the whole wall and the ceiling beginning from outside to the parlour where the main bed will be dress.
This method is called Pleating, this is an action in which the fabrics is pleated in other to cover the whole space so that you cannot see the wall through the fabrics.
After pleating the whole wall and ceiling with fabric, I now plant flowers on the ceiling in other to beautify the house. But since you were not there you may not understand how I manage to plant flowers up there, but I promise to show how next time.
I later on fixed my bed a dress it, as you can see that the bed is well pleated and I also mixed the fabrics colours to beautify the bed. Also as you can see the house is decorated with flower vest and flowers on it still to beautify the house.
So many other aspects took place during the decorations that we didn't capture on photograph like, I went there with Blessing who help dress the table for the condolence.
The work went successfully today, and tomorrow I will return to set the main venue for the funeral very early in the morning.
