Do you post for money or for the fun ?

avatar

Some people think i pos for money since they are new here, and don't remember when after 1 fork posts were worth less than 1 USD for long time and i was posting daily while most quit.

Anyways. Do you post to make money or to get words out? Right now even flagg3ed to zero your readers see it.

So what is your main goal?

I think everyone posts for money, even if the rewards are less than one euro we hope that they worth more money in the future when the coin will pump. If our posts does not worth more that 1 hbd nobody reads them. They are getting lost after one hour.
Hive is advertised as a social media that pays the users for their posts. New users are coming at hive for money, if they dont gain anything they quit.

I've been posting consistently on Hive and Steem(in the past) for over two years. In that period, I have missed only a few days. Back then, my posts use to give me tiny upvotes but I continued because I relished the challenge of creating something new everyday and wondering how people will receive it.

So in essence, I post for both reasons; fun because I enjoy posting it and for money because money helps me pay for internet and food.

Hey man!
At the beginning I was posting exclusively for money, with time it has become fun and passion, so now I post because I like to do it...but I also hope for a lot of money!😄

Short answer first: I post for crypto.

The long answer is more about the experience, about the rewards in crypto, independent if HIVE/STEEM is/was 0.0something of $10. I'm gathering crypto, in all forms... as I believe that it will have an important role in the future. True, the crypto of today might not be even part of the future, but I'm convinced that the future will be created out of the crypto we have now. This is a space where ideas evolves, and attracts smart people. And this is why I'm active here...

Chances are that everybody wants to make money here. Probably not enough for a living, but enough for some extra pleasures in life. The thing is that hive has a social media spin to it, so you can enrich yourself and help others enrich themselves too. Win win. And have fun while doing that too.

Or you can just be a dick and just take, take, take. And then take some more.

And if everybody with a stake, big or small, did that, guess what? This place would be ded and those who just take take take would have a stake that would be worth zero.

Btw, how's the latter working for you lately?

I post for getting Hive so that I increase my stake in the platform. Though most of us do the same, but not all posts are for getting up votes. I post some of the post to get interesting replies

I do it for both reasons. It's the best social media platform that I've been a part of, as I mentioned a coupls of times, and it even managed to provide for my expenses for a while. If the price would get over a buck and my payouts would keep the line I could even make living out of this. I live in a cheap country and my lifestyle is quite frugal. Either way it's fun, unique, authentic and way more engaging than facebook, which I gave up three years ago.

I am posting to earn some money and at the same time having fun because I liked what I am doing @kingscrown
I get to meet friends like you and that is what is awesome about this platform, I meet people who cares about me in the process and people that fascinates if not entertains and also inspires me too while I am inspiring others too.

as some of the comments mention, everybody came for the money! if there was no money involved i bet this place would be dead by now. Then we stay both for the money and the community/friends whatever...

Sadly, the majority of us don't make money, not even close to enough as to say "this is my job" and sadly we need way more curation both for teams/trails and for people with big stake. At the end of the day this will lead to new members as well and it's a win win for everyone

To be honest, for both reasons, first you start with the emotion of the moment and knowing that you can "earn something out of nothing" or do what you already do on other social networks, then you get used to it and keep doing it without thinking about whether it's worth continuing to do so, really everything is based on money, power and influence you have, that's the truth.

To keep making money you have to have powerful friends who reward you with their vote, and if you do not get it, the effort is really worth nothing, I do not want to sound pessimistic, but on other networks you can get more honest comments.

So my main goal is, to do what I like (right now is photography) make a post about it and if I get profits that' s good, and if not, at least try to share with everyone what I have to show.

Well lately you must be posting just for fun, because your posts don’t earn any money. Your curation does though. So that’s nice. I don’t know why people vote you, because they are loosing on curation there, as your posts don’t earn any money.

I hope you continue to have fun.

Have you started reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy yet? Nice book.

i have posted for fun 2 years prior you to be here ;) you just for some reason (maybe some bad whispers) thought its money that motivates me not that sharing itself. sadly no, im now reading jessse livermore biography

PS. people curate/write with no money due to ur flags because... not everyone does stuff for money which u didnt expect :>

That's excellent! I enjoy reading Jesse Livermore. I didn't read his biography though. But Reminiscences of a Stock Operator remains one of my favorite books. Bucket shop trading are obviously no more, and reading ticker are a thing of the past. But it does have major historical significance.

I used to trade sugar futures a lot. Always thought about that book... where he yells... sell sugar!

Fascinating!

Nah they just don't know that they are making nothing. I'll make sure I let some of them know.

Of course money motivates you. I've seen your encrypted memos. You are one sad fuck that they even make fun of you in slack.

The beating will continue.

Do you flag for fun? Did someone spoil your game?

Obviously the money is nice, but I give a shit about this platform, like I cared about Steem before Justin trashed it. I enjoy being social and manage to get more comments than you with a lot less followers.

You get out what you put in.

i never flag for fun. u have been flagging me for months following some trail till i made u notice. yet u didnt wanna stop... so u kicked me 50 times and u are suprised i kicked back finally.. PS loads of people who wasnt aware they do that stopped following it the dv trail.. if u are one of them lemme know.

I do not follow downvote trails. I downvote manually to adjust rewards and so you did not have to make me notice. Your flags do not hurt me or put me off and I have friends who cancel them out. I will continue to do what is good for Hive.
