Breaking rocks in the hot Sun

We are working hard always! I have been employing a few local people to help me make my Christmas wish a reality, and it all comes down to these rocks!

The road is eating up these rocks and its getting better every week, luckily we have lots of rocks around to work with.

Most of these rocks just seem to come out of certain areas of the mountain. They sure are useful but can be a bit intimidating to break by hand, but we use what we have.

Our road is coming along, it has served us well so far and I want to make sure that it survives for a long time by stiffening up any weak or damaged points with rocks before any water can destabilize it further.

Once these bags of rocks are half full, we can take about 16 of them up with the car and dump them in the road where we need them most, so the car can comoact them into a sturdy strip.

I'll have some more pictures of what we've been getting done these final days before winter vacation, I'm pretty ready to stop but just have to push on for 10 or so days more!

By the way, the bathroom is coming along!

Breaking, bagging and hauling rocks is very hard work. I hope you are able to stabilize the road prior to any major weather hits your area. The new structure looks great. Take care.
