Clean up for a Party

Cleaning up and getting ready for a good party....there are many steps. Don't forget to buy beer and ice, plenty of charcoal, and get the area clean. My wife will do the rest, inviting the guests, and feeding them.

Make sure not to drink too much of the beer while cleaning up the area:

I don't have a true 'before' picture, perhaps it was too embarassing, but besides waste high weeds and shoulder high grasses, there was all of this stuff:

There is always so much to do, but this hilltop flat spot is generally full of stuff because its one of the most open spaces on the farm.

For a true before and after, I grabbed a bit of gardeny corner that had been overgrown with grass since we cut down the coffee plants, which have since resprouted.

Today is @ecoinstante's birthday party, and after several days of machete work, the area can now be considered 'clean' for partygoers to set out their lawn chairs and enjoy themselves.

I did leave a little patch of the seeding bracharia grass for the butterflies to mate on.

On display is our multi species system, bordering one of the only open spaces left on the farm. Here close by we can admire the view across the wondrous central cordilllera of Colombia.
