Visit to my Uncle Yam Farm

Yam is one of the class in roots and tubers planted all over the world for consumption.

Yam are important food crop and it also source of carbohydrate which are of different type. We have the yellow yam, white guinea yam which are both common in Nigeria, aerial yam, Chinese yam and trifoliate yam.

Been in one of the local village with my grand Ma for some week i visited one of my uncle in his Yam farm and he planted mostly white guinea yam.

Let some of this skills in planting root system use in planting the yam.

After a while he also show me some of the yam that have been harvest and pack and some that are ready for harvest.

It is a big farm and he also take me to some of the other part of the farm where tomatoes and palm kernel are plant which i will be sharing soon.
