I made sketch of Scarecrow who is fictional character of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published in 1900.

I used Black fine liner for this art.

Th prime aim of the sketch is to draw your attention towards modern educational problem.

You might have heard famous quote from Novel

"If I only had a Brain! "

―Scarecrow (1939)

And Scarecrow said these words after Dorothy saved him.

At one point Dorothy replied ,

With the thoughts that you'll be thinkin'
You could be another Lincoln
If you only had a brain.

The central problem is that Scarecrow has huge complex that he is just fool. And that's why he wanted to see Wizard of Oz. However, he was brilliant in reality . The basic problem was he did not notice his own brilliance.

Finally, The Wizard of Oz figured out for him that he is not a fool in reality. Also , the Wizard of Oz said something that reflects the real problems in our education system now days.

have universities - seats of great learning - where men
go to become great thinkers. And when they come out, they think deep
thoughts, and with no more brains than you have.
But - they have one thing you haven't got - a diploma!

The Wizard of Oz conferred upon him the Degree of Th.d so that he can feel good about himself. Now a days we are only getting degree to feel good about ourselves from expensive institutes but that does not produce imaginative and creative minds.
