Water Colour Portrait of a Young Woman with Painting Process!

Hi everyone sharing with you today my final out of the four commissioned watercolor portraits. For this one I combined a lot of what I had learned and the elements I liked in the previous portraits. Water colours can look a lot like acrylic/oil paint if applied thickly with little water and this can work depending on your style however, for this portrait I aimed for a very surface level approach almost as if she's appearing from the paper briefly only to disappear soon after. I did not want to overwork it and just included the key features that make the face recognizable. Less is more as the saying goes. For the final details in the eyes and eyebrows I used watercolour pencils as they allowed for greater flexibility and control in what I was aiming for compared to a paintbrush.

This is cool buddy. Those drips made it look like she is crying but she's actually not. A nice style.
