Daily Drawing Challenge: Day 1 - Ladybug [Insect]

in Sketchbook7 months ago

Hello everyone! Greetings to you all.

Today, I present to you my new artwork for August daily drawing challenge day 1 with the theme "Insect" so I chose to draw a ladybug

The work depicts a ladybird Beetle which also known as ladybug. They are usually found in most agricultural and garden habitats.

They give sence of natural biological control with their presence - in essence, they help control crop pests. It wouldn't be bad if they are called defenders of the home garden.

The drawing was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper on a cardboard paper. I used cross hatching technique to create this piece.

Here are my steps:

Step 1
Outline sketch

Step 2
Building my forms from the darkest part
