Pokemon Drawing#10 Caterpie
It's my tenth time to draw a Pokemon Monster and this time I will draw Caterpie, a caterpillar pokemon. This monster may be very weak but once evolved it can be very strong.
Finished Drawing
In this drawing, we can see that Caterpie is standing still and waiting for any leaf to dropped so it may be its meal. I used four colors only in this drawing, green, black, yellow, and white. I just make sure that those that need a darker color, I make sure that I do repeatable coloring on that area while those that are much lighter, I did just do single to two strokes.
Process of my Drawing
In my initial drawing, I started with the head of Caterpie.
I then finish drawing the entire body of Caterpie.
I have finished drawing Caterpie's body details.
I then continue to bold Caterpie's body.
I then started coloring Caterpie's body, especially on the top layer.
I then finish a colorful Caterpie.

I was going to say that caterpie isn't a word... then i read the post and googled it and saw that yes caterpie is a word in the pokemon universe...
I am not much familiar with pokemons...
You can use a very light dark tone on top of the color to make them darker. the going twice or thrice doesn't really work, though the dark might make it look a bit muddy
Ahhh...I see.. thanks for the comment. I will take note of that. I guess I will be needing a lot of colors then.. ;)
yes, i haven't properly started with acrylic paint yet because of that very reason. I have only a few and the drawing looks super stupid with the colors that i have... lol
I would agree, for the moment that I have limited colors, I just continue of what I have started but once I have bought another set of coloring materials, I will surely implement your suggestions. I think that would be a good improvement for me.
yes, that would be a good improvement. I would also buy a set of colors but with lockdown and virus thing going on, i am very scared go outside....

I'm a Pokemon fan and I love that you drew a Caterpie. Amazing drawing skills by the way, I am always impressed when someone is good at drawing because I am not the best at it.
