This is my entry to the 24th day of the #dailydrawingchallenge and here are some progress shots...

I started with the sketch using a 2B graphite pencil

I blocked in the shadows on the graves to start depicting the effect of light. Up until this point I only planned to do the one row but later felt I had to include another for more context

Then I shaded the flowers using Crayola and Derwent Colored pencils, this immediately added some light to the drawing
