Over the past week, multiple people have added sponsorship HIVE to the pool and many 'old' names have returned. This week should be an interesting one :)

This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.
Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here - including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks.
I've used some metrics relating to:
- Posts (P)
- Comments - number of (C)
- Number of people spoken to (PS)
- Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (C R)
- Comments - length in characters (C L)
- Witness votes (W) (for those voting via proxy, your total is always 30)
- Up-votes to others (V)
- Up-votes to different authors (U V)
- Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus HIVE(S V)

- 354 accounts earned a score this week (300 last time)
- The top 100 produced 1166 top level posts (922 last time)
- The top 100 produced 11462 comments (6854 last time)

- The top 100 cast 29127 votes (27048 last time), of these, 368 were self-votes (249 last time)

Here or discord is fine! Easiest think is to sponsor a number each week with whatever you want - some go HP, or HIVE. Or you can put a bit into the pool for the top 20 to split. I keep a track of what I've been sent and will mention those who are going this route.

No sorcery really...I reply to everyone who comments to me and upon the posts I read and curate for @curangel and on those in my friends feed. I have an ethos of engagement as I understand that it will help build my account. I don't engage to win the League, I win the League because I engage.
Someone different will win next week, I'm sure of it.

You could always try sorcery though, I've heard it can be effective. Lol.
You know what? Set a goal to make 20 replies each day as a minimum. That'll probably get you well into the top 10. Best to make those replies to new users too, and people you don't engage with already...It'll help them and help build your account also. That's what engagement is all about. And fun too of course.
I use to be top 3 back in the days on the steem league. It's been hectic these days for me. Plus I have to work extra hours to upkeep myself and family. so it's why I hardly have much time
You have to prioritise what's important though, so you're doing the right thing.

LOL as I said to you when we discussed joining again , I wasn't expecting to be in the top 10, but Wednesday walk was a lot more active this week than in previous weeks I guess, and yes I do agree with you @brittandjosie, @dswigle and @melinda010100 and all other girls, this week the men took the top 3, lets see you put us into the top 10 and out of the top 3 :)

I dont know how you keep up I struggle and I am not working anymore
When you work, I think you tend to be more organized because you have to. When I was not working for a few months, I became leisure with my time.
I could use a couple of extra hours per day though.
Ohh I bet you could do with extra time at the moment, and I do agree though and I am not sure if its because of the pandemic, but I am for sure less organized these days and get distracted withother things, or maybe that's just retirement lOL
A little bit of both. Unfortunately for you, you didn't even get settled into a routine before we declared a pandemic. So I can hardly blame you for not being so organized. When things settle back to normal I know things will be better for you. Of course, being retired and fooling around sounds like a perfect plan to me.
Yeah I am not sure if my timing for retirement ended up being great or bad, but I think it worked out well for the most part,
yeah once this is over we will get busy with moving and such and then I will settle into my new routine whatever that may be lOL
I am pretty sure it would be miserable to be working for you. Did your office go in? Probably telecommute as much as possible. Even the Pentagon here shut down unless working on secret. Seems like the world shut down.
LOl actually Most liked working with me, well not with me, your right working with me on a project was a pain I am sure as I would just storm ahead and get it all done on my own LOL
But working for me was generally popular as I was a great believer in letting people have control to do projects on their own, if they needed guidance or there was problems they needed help with come to me, but otherwise I trusted them to just get it done, but those who didn't give it a fair shot would perhaps not like my guidance lol
Mos of the uN is telecommuting at the moment, only those working on the infrastructure and security are having to go in, we were lucky we deployed a strong remote working infrastructure over the last few years so most things can be done from home, infact like processing my exit papers normally took 10 to 12 weeks, before this, mine happened during it and was done in under 8 weeks
yes from the shot si see in NYC it looks like a ghost town, the world is on shutdown and my concern is they sensible open it up again and don't rush it and let a second wave come earlier and stronger than expected

Great weekly numbers, congratulations to everyone. What a very nice jump in all the numbers for the week that was great to see. I am still moving along and holding steady at 26 two weeks in a row. last time that happened was back in the weeks of July 21st and July 28th of 2019, and that was a place 24.
The comment count almost doubled over the previous week, that is just great, I do love seeing the level of engagement rising, the interactions on post can be quite fun to read. Once again, congrats to everyone, I think we are building a fine social media place to share thoughts,ideas and life.
A massive improvement, and I hope that it's not just due to recent price activity.

I come to leave a comment on this week's engagement post wondering what I might do for an encore. :)
I think I'm feeling more subdued at the moment than I was last week. That's probably for the best.
While it was my intention to vent about the league's status, that it would be nice for some wider recognition, it wasn't my intention for people to open up their wallets. I guess, in the end, those decisions were made by them, but I wasn't angling for any of that.
I suppose I should just leave it at that and move on.
To the airdrop proposals, perhaps?

re: the league
It's nice to see things heat up a little bit. It's nice to see some familiar names showing back up on the list. It's nice to see quite a few folks upping their games. It's kind of odd to me that it coincides with a rise in HIVE rates, but maybe I'm misreading this whole thing, anyway.
Regardless, whatever the reason, it's good to see more engagers and more engagement.

And last weeks 'discussion', if you can call it that, has worked out rather well for the EL and its participants. Thank you for your major part in that - I know it wasn't your intention to upset anyone or boost the post by 1500+ HIVE - I'll take it though :)
As far as the airdrop proposals, I'm going to side with 'no thanks' and then try to push those who were lacking knowledge and thought they were doing the right thing in voting for the top 20. Perhaps they should have been more diligent, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to a few.

I haven't quite figured out the practical reason for any of the current airdrop proposals, except maybe for the one that I'm assuming sets the bar for any subsequent individual airdrop proposals. Even so, if the bar gets set too high, then there's really no reason to make an individual proposal.
But the group ones, for all intents and purposes, at least based on the comments and where folks seem to be currently falling, seem to be a royal waste of time. I get the intention—they are the ones who voted straight out or by proxy for sock puppet witnesses, and how do you substantively discern where they're hearts lie one from another—but when each one of those voters are somewhere along the entire spectrum, it makes voting for them as a group extremely difficult, if not impossible.
And just based on what I've read from the comments, particularly those who have their own accounts frozen on STEEM, who happen to be witnesses and major HP holders, I don't know. It just seems like its all going through the motions for the sake of going through the motions.
Better to just vote up the bar, and then announce individuals to get their proposals ready.
As it was, it all seems a tad premature. Weren't we just going to get the ones who were known errors taken care of in HF24, and then move on to the next group in a future fork? I thought I read something to that effect.
And as far as that goes, I don't know that I've even seen what HF24, aside from airdropping, will even entail. I'm following hive.io and I see most of the witness/dev posts there are through either reblogs or trending, so if there's been such an overview, somehow it wasn't deemed worth trending or someone reblogging it.
No, I don't want anyone to stop doing what they're doing just so they can bring ME up to speed (and oh, a few tens of thousands of regular users, give or take). Maybe we need a HIVE community public relations officer, who regularly blasts out to the community? Maybe that person needs to have their own DAO proposal?

With regards to the airdrops..
A proposal by crimsonclad to push for 4 accounts 'none the wiser' to get some HIVE is currently ahead of the No drops proposal, and so this is good news for those concerned.
I do feel that they were unknowledgeable and made a mistake, but are lucky also.

Yeah. I've voted for it. This makes more sense, having someone vouch for others on a smaller scale. I've never ran across the other two, but I'm glad to see someone picking up farm-mom's and thebigsweed's causes. I've had a real hard time dealing with this whole litmus test thing for witness voting while apparently we've had no problem allowing the farmers and other scammers, or those we know will just cash out their HIVE, get their HIVE, but oh no, people voted for the enemy—forget them!
I don't know how the so-called masses are going to deal with any of this.
