Trip to Reserva Ornitológica #3 - Mindelo | Portugal

With this post i share today, i end this visit to the ornithological reserve of Mindelo, which despite having already shared and detailed some interesting aspects regarding this place, when i did it some time ago, the place was approached from another perspective, from the walkway during one of the hikes i started taking during lunch.

I confess that when i went here with my family, it was not with the intention of walking the paths, but it would have been to go back to making the walkways and also to do a little beach, but the crowd of people ended up leaving us making the decision to move away and we ended up finding an entrance to one of the tracks at the dead end street.
Neither my wife nor i knew this part of the reserve, nor had we ever traveled any of these interior trails.

Although there are a lot of them, as announce some of the signposts we found along the way, and as we had already walked some path and added to this time, plus that little time when i take a few breaks to take my macros :) it was late and even our daughter was already asking to take her on my back, and when that happens, it is best to speed up the step: P
So at one of the intersections we decided to turn right, thinking that path was going to take us to the exact place where we had left the car parked, but as we progressed, we realized that this was not going to happen, until arriving at a place where it was possible to see the houses beyond the vast agricultural fields, we can see our car parked in the distance, separated by a huge field recently sown.

After verifying that there was no shortcut to follow in a straight line, we had no choice but to go through the village until we found the dead end street again to go home.

My introductory thoughts about macro photography:

It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.

Before moving onto the result...

Feel free to check some of the previous macro photography sessions with a technique short description:

Here i present the technique used through a short visual tutorial:

Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.

That´s all for today :)

See you soon

Thank you for watching :)
