Ru' Valley and the Santuary of the Red Church- Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Today I take you with me on the last excursion I did, to San Zenone degli Ezzelini, in the province of Treviso.

Oggi vi porto con me nell'ultima escursione che ho fatto, a San Zenone degli Ezzelini, nella provincia di Treviso.

Two minutes from the busy main road, a path begins that enters the countryside first and then goes into the Valle delle Ru '.

A due minuti dalla trafficata strada principale inizia un sentiero che si infila prima nella campagna per poi addentrarsi nella Valle delle Ru'.

The road is wide and is bordered by a stream.

ITA

La strada è larga ed è costeggiata da un torrente.

I could see bee hives beyond a field.

ITA

Riuscivo a scorgere oltre un campo le arnie per le api.

After just 200 meters the road slips between tall acacia trees which made a pleasant shade.

Dopo appena 200 metri la strada si infila tra alti alberi di acacia che facevano una piacevole ombra.

Taking a path on the left you continue accompanied by the sound of the water of the stream.

Prendendo un sentiero sulla sinistra si prosegue accompagnati dal suono dell'acqua del torrente.

There are many wooden bridges, and every time I see them during my excursions I am too happy :)

Ci sono molti ponti di legno, e ogni volta che ne vedo durante le mie escursioni sono troppo felice :)

The vegetation creates very suggestive green tunnels.

La vegetazione crea dei tunnel verdi molto suggestivi.

It's a nice place, often there are tables and benches to rest and relax,..it's the ideal place.

E' un bel posto, spesso ci sono tavoli e panchine dove riposarsi e rilassarsi...è il posto ideale.

I particularly liked this shot and I had fun experimenting in photoshop...

The trees provide a lot of shade and some areas of the valley are so dim that it seems evening even if it isn't.

Gli alberi fanno molta ombra e alcune zone della valle sono così poco luminate che sembra sera anche se non lo è.

In a couple of places there are also small waterfalls.

In un paio di punti ci sono anche delle piccole cascatelle.

During the walk I met a few people, I think there is still a little fear because of Covid19.

Durante la camminata ho incotrato poche persone, credo ci sia ancora un po' di timore per via del Covid19.

The path is well signposted, it is impossible to go wrong.

Il percorso è ben segnalato, è impossibile sbagliare strada.

Still a few bridges and if you want, you can go back, but it was not my case...

Ancora qualche ponte e se si vuole, si può tornare indietro, ma non era il mio caso...

I decided to take another path and go to visit the Ezzelini tower.

ITA

Ho deciso di prendere un altro percorso e andare a visitare la torre degli Ezzelini.

The path is wonderful, only the sounds of nature are heard.

The whole route is shaded and there are no difficult slopes.

Il percorso è stupendo, si sentono solo i suoni della natura.

Tutto il percorso è all'ombra e non ci sono pendenze difficili.

Also in this section there are some wooden bridges...maybe I'm immature but for me it's almost like going back small and going up in a carousel :D

Anche in questo tratto si trovano alcuni ponti di legno...forse sono immaturo ma per me è quasi come tornare piccolo e salire in una giostra :D

At a certain point you can see some houses and after a short climb you can see the indications for the tower.

Ad un certo punto si intravedono delle case e dopo una breve salita si scorsono le indicazioni per la torre.

Two cyclists greet me and begin to face the last climb before the tower.

ITA

Due ciclisti mi salutano e cominciano ad affrontare l'ultima salita prima della torre.

The asphalted road with cypresses on the sides is very suggestive.

La strada asfaltata con i cipressi ai lati è molto suggestiva.

With the excuse of consulting the map I stop to take a breath...

ITA

Con la scusa di consultare la mappa mi fermo a prendere fiato...

Vines are grown alongside the road, there is a farm...they are famous areas for wine.

ITA

A fianco della strada sono coltivate le viti, c'è un'azienda agricola...sono zone famose per il vino.

Just a few more steps and here is the tower!

Ancora pochi passi ed ecco la torre!

I wanted to find the right perspective for a nice photo so I decided to continue along the way...

Volevo trovare la prospettiva giusta per una bella foto così ho deciso di proseguire lungo la strada...

Here unfortunately there was a cypress right in front of the tower...

Wow, the tower was always covered by trees...

Caspita, la torre era sempre coperta dagli alberi...

A path continued towards the sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte, but everyone calls it the Red Church.
Of course I decided to go on :)

Un sentiero proseguiva verso il santuario della Madonna del Monte, ma tutti la chiamano Chiesa Rossa.
Naturalmente ho deciso di proseguire :)

Suddenly here comes the ghost of the tower! :D

Improvvisamente ecco sbucare il fantasma della torre! :D

To get to the Red Church I had to face a very long staircase...

ITA

Per arrivare alla chiesa Rossa dovevo affrontare una lunghissima scalinata...

And after the effort, here is the Red Church!

But when I saw the church, anger came after satisfaction...how can you install a rubbish bin in front of where the path leads to ruining the view of the church ??
Idiots!

E dopo la fatica, eccola la chiesa Rossa!

Però quando l'ho vista, dopo la soddisfazione è sopraggiunta la rabbia...come si può installare un cestino della spazzatura davanti a dove sbocca il sentiero rovinando la vista della chiesa??
Idioti!

My parents wanted to get married in this church but everything was already booked for months!

Beyond the trees that act as a belt to the church area you can see a beautiful view of the countryside and Monte Grappa.

Oltre gli alberi che fanno da cintura all'area della chiesa si intravede un bel panorama sulla campagna e del Monte Grappa.

Exploring the north side you can see the bell tower detached from the church.

Esplorando il lato nord si scorge il campanile staccato dalla chiesa.

Just in front of the church there is a small hill with a cross in the center and cypresses around it.

Proprio di fronte alla chiesa c'è una piccola collina con una croce al centro e i cipressi attorno.

The landscape seen among the cypresses is incredible.

Il paesaggio che si vede tra i cipressi è incredibile.

Then I went back to the church, and visited the back yard.

ITA

Poi sono tornato verso la chiesa, e ho visitato il cortile posteriore.

This building instead I don't know what it is I didn't find information...

Reading an effigy on the side facade of the building I discover that the Italian painter Teodoro Wolf Ferrari lived in this territory until his death...

The time had come to visit the interior of the church...

Era arrivato il momento di visitare l'interno della chiesa...

There was no one, but after a while a girl entered...trying not to fall into temptation I concentrated on the beautiful stained windows :D

Non c'era nessuno, ma dopo poco è entrata una ragazza...cercando di non cadere in tentazione mi sono concetrato sulle belle finestre istoriate :D

The excursion had been more than satisfactory. It was time to go home...

L'escursione era stata più che soddisfacente. Era ora di tornare a casa...
