Stand up paddlers

Whether on Lake Zurich like here, Lake Geneva or Lake Lucerne where there is water, there are stand up paddlers. Paddling standing up is not expensive, the equipment does not cost more than a good bike, skis, a surfboard or a boat. A board costs between 300 and 1000 francs. Is fun in every kind of water and has its own challenges.

Stand Up Paddling is a trendy sport, standing on a board, you move forward by paddles. Besides the experience in nature, the sport itself, the feeling of balance and also the extremely healthy effect on the body are in the focus. Is described as relaxation and sport at the same time.

We have lots and lots and LOTS of people doing that here in Long Beach California. I like it and it's a little annoying at the same time. Being out on the water was one way to get a little solitude, but not anymore.
